Next Ottawa Meet

Hey guys,

It's been pretty quiet since the last meet, but perhaps it's time to get the ball rolling again.

This meet will be an especially joyous occasion, as it will double to serve as a celebration for PaulG on the birth of his new daughter!

Congratulations man!

Date: Saturday September 19th.

Initial meet up: 4:30-5:30pm
Initial meet place: The old Canadian Tire parking lot across from Carlingwood Mall.

Plan: Cruise (possibly parkway, route to be determined), grab a bite and/or drinks afterwards at a venue based on attendee consensus.

Post-meet update: The meet went really well! New faces & MX6s, great cruise, awesome round of dinner and drinks at Local Heroes merivale. All in all another successful meet!

Cruise. We caught the Parkway from Woodroffe all the way to Wellington, down Elgin to connect to the Queen Elizabeth Parkway all the way to Baseline Road, then stopped at Lone Star before moving to Local Heroes on Merivale. I led the pack, you'll see all six of us in the pics.

The clincher, check out the sign. We did feel a little bad until we realised the building was closed:

im gunna say the sep 18 weekend is gunna be the only one im gunna be able to make it, even at that i dont know what day, or times id be available. best bet would be a sunday evening then id tour back to school,

NOTE i dont currently have my car so hopefully its all fixed up by then. who knows.

You should post a link to this thread in the past meet thread(s) so that people get a notification...I know that not everyone checks the forums regularly like some of us lol.

Im down for any sunday of those weekends, doesn't really matter as long as we go for a sunday...Aswell I'm sure both of my brothers will be too

Well in past years, it's usually been a rendevous at Merivale & Meadowlands, with a possible move elsewhere afterwards. This year has been a sorts of mixed bag of meeting points, depending on the event.

So far, it seems the weekend of the 18th is what the general consensus is leaning towards. I'm down for any of the days except the 25th. Let's decide whether we do the Friday 18th or Sunday 20th, because that will determine what event will be made possible, since anything driving-related may not be very viable for a Friday late-afternoon (rush hour & regular week-workers).

If we do a weekend day, I would like to suggest we do another cruise, since that seemed to make for a fun time. Destination suggestions?

Well, just to throw my two cents in, any of those weekends works for me, but the later the better; it'll give me more time to figure out why my car's running so damn rich!

Can't do this weekend or next weekend. (Spending this weekend to work on the car, next weekend I'm in Toronto). I (and the car) should be good to go the week after.

I'll be at M&M this Friday though, but with the MZ3, since I won't have the MX-6 til saturday.
