Tell me, Mr. Anderson, what good is a phone call when you are unable to speak?

Please help me

I told you that the part that I need is "direction box".
I made a research to found the real technical name of the part in english.

I found that the part's name is "Steering Box".

"Steering Box - A box connecting the lower end of the steering column to the
pitman arm and steering linkage or tie rod that uses gears and/or fluid
pressure to multiply the force the driver uses for steering to make steering
easier. Other names: (Manual Steering Box, Power, Steering Box, Steering
Gear)."

You naturally don't understood the name "direction box". This name is a bad translation for the portuguese to english. I hope you can understand now.

Sorry for this little mistake.

Meanwhile my problem is almost resolved. I found a Part's store in England that made my a good price.

Thanks anyway.

I'm guessing he means the steering box.

steering rack

Cut the guy some slack.

He obviously speaks no English and is relying on translation programs which aren't aimed at translating specialist items such as steering boxes / racks.

pauloferramenta - let us know how you get on.

The steering box, or Steering gear housing is available seperately, and is pretty expensive from the dealers..
Be sure your steering rack is in good order, as it may be more cost effective to buy a reconditioned steering rack instead.

My problem is already resolved. My mechanic found an MX6 in Spain with the a steering box almost new. The car is very good now.

Mr. Ian F. Chequer, I don't have any translation program but I really don't speak english very well. There are some words, especially technical words about the parts that I don't know how to say in english.

Thanks any way, guys.
