			<title>FE - F2 Swap</title>

			<description>so, im not sure if this is the right place, but alot of you guys here seems to know about mazda motors, 

so i have a 87 b2000 that the engine blew, and im goin to the wrecking yard on sat to pull a 2.2 f2 and drop it in, 

just wondering if theres anything i need to know? 

and also, the head on the FE is a fresh rebuild, would i benifit from swapping that head onto the F2 block? i know the fe has mech lifters.. 

and thing else i can do performance-wise along the way aswell?</description>

			<title><![CDATA[Matt's FE3 project]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[It's something that I should have made a long time ago...but I'm gonna try here...

I prolly wont have alot of progress this winter, so I will try to utilize the time to back log what I've already done

For now...some pics of the past...My FE3 originally went into a white 89PGL, I have not uploaded any pics of that car yet, but most of them were when it still had the F2T swapped into it.  The pics in the following link show it installed in my black 89PGT, however the pics of the build are from the white car's build...the black car was rushed together and no pics were taken

It was installed as a 2.2L stroker, wiseco 8.5:1 pistons, in the white car and the build in the pics, stock rods, in the black one they are custom cunningham h-beam rods, headwork was done by me, stock valves, FE3N/FE3N cams...

Mid post I added some pics, the turbo that will be installed with it, the I/C core that will be used, and the cams gears from the BB here;)  And there's 2 of the rod that let go in the initial build...;)

			<description>i have a 1988 mx-6 GT with 62k miles on the car its in great shape with no rust any were and has a few small dings that i will be getting fix down the road soon. now i just bought a low miles JDM FE3 off ebay for a great price i think my plans are to turbo it down the road but we will see i have sooooo many other projects going on right now lol i will be getting pics up soon</description>

I took a crap load of pics so I will rememeber what I did and what I screwed up for next time but I took a pulley from a 1.9 early 90's escort and 
pulled the tooth wheel off the back side they are just press fit on 
then layed out 4 holes and then drilled them but they end ended up off by to much on my timing marks so I layed out a second set and drill both the tooth wheel and pulley at the same time it isn't perfect center but it works good 

the next batch of pics is from the pulling of the very drity f2t that finally blew a head gasket after 437,000km

at this point I was still planning on using the factory harness
and just making a adapter to my mega squirt ecu 
which would have been possible but I had all sorts of trouble 
and opted to rewire the engine to be sure something had not been damaged
it how ever turned out that the circuit to amplify the out put of my cps 
to my mega squirt.  MS(v2.2) with a lm324  has some issues with certain pickups and with more teeth it how ever worked great on my modded gt disty running 12-1 with 2 teeth ground out of it thank again for that info compnut21

so here it is all welded up and wired it runs with no filter at this point 
I guess I should take some more recent pics 

but here is the info and specs 

it is a fe-dohc from what I can glen from the motor and the web it is a 9.2-1 motor 

the stock turbo with 3 stages of boost control 
under half boot 7lbs like stock half to 3/4 boot 9lbs 3/4 to full boot 15lbs

MS 3.0 (msns-extra) with wasted spark fan control boost control 
no 1/4 mile times or dyno runs have been done yet 
but it runs hot dam 

currently looking for a second block for a whole rebuild while this is fun 
I want more

as you can see my dist block off plate this is seal with some <br />
ultra black and it has been trimmed now to look a little better <br />

at this point I was still planning on using the factory harness<br />
and just making a adapter to my mega squirt ecu <br />
which would have been possible but I had all sorts of trouble <br />
and opted to rewire the engine to be sure something had not been damaged<br />
it how ever turned out that the circuit to amplify the out put of my cps <br />
to my mega squirt.  MS(v2.2) with a lm324  has some issues with certain pickups and with more teeth it how ever worked great on my modded gt disty running 12-1 with 2 teeth ground out of it thank again for that info compnut21<br />

yeah I picked up my flanges today <br />

so here it is all welded up and wired it runs with no filter at this point <br />
I guess I should take some more recent pics <br />

but here is the info and specs <br />

it is a fe-dohc from what I can glen from the motor and the web it is a 9.2-1 motor <br />
<br />
the stock turbo with 3 stages of boost control <br />
under half boot 7lbs like stock half to 3/4 boot 9lbs 3/4 to full boot 15lbs<br />
<br />
MS 3.0 (msns-extra) with wasted spark fan control boost control <br />
no 1/4 mile times or dyno runs have been done yet <br />
but it runs hot dam <br />
<br />
currently looking for a second block for a whole rebuild while this is fun <br />
I want more <br />
<br />
there is a longer build log over on bcpoc.ca <br />
but this should get the general idea</div>
