I asked if anyone knew specificaly which parts were interchangable on lx or gl probes to the gt. I didnt get any good answers. So i got parts and they fit. So here is a list of parts that are interchangable for anyone who wants to know.

On 1991 or 1992 the GT ot GL Ford Probe (I think the one I took parts off of was a 1991 and mine is a 1992 but not sure)

1. The middle crossmember is the same

2. The passenger crossmember is the same

3. The radiator and cooling fans are the same (the cooling fans have different connectors than the GT but should still work if re-wired)

4. The front of the uni-body frame is the same as the GT

5. The hood is the same

6. The headlights are the same and headlight assembly

7. The coolant tank and washer fluid tank are the same

8. The bumper reinforcement I think fits or it can be made to fit (I had a little trouble but I got it to work) the GL bumper reinforcement doesnt have a bracket for fog lights.

9. The timing belt covers are the same

10. Most relays appear to be the same but not sure.

Which one fits best?Im pretty sure they dont make them for out cars do they?Autozone universal ones ive seen fit like poo.I know its kind of ricer but ehh i really dont want to mess with my dash or anything.

so i know the r32 and the silvia can be made to fit the mx6 but what about the jdm DA headlamps and the 95+ jdm itr? stanley and knock offs/ebay. i would love to see if someone has done it or atleas tried it. i have some on my da but i'm selling it so i cant really keep it

I also need a section of the uni-body frame from the passenger strut tower to the middle of the radiator support.

I know of a junkyard that has a 1991 or 1992 ford probe. I need to know if the parts on it are the same as the GT or if they will fit. I know the bumper cover doesn't have a spot for the fog lights but is the frame the same and the exterior panels. Also what other years have the same parts.

Well i decided i wanted to try something different because my was pretty much just solid white all around. My friend gave me the idea of painting my trim black so thats what i did today.

I know i just did it, but hopefully it will grow on me. Had the car for almost a year and a half and it was always solid white.

What about painting the rockers and the front lip?
