Squeaky Clutch

now before you guys say "search the threads" I have already done that multiple times, spray WD-40 and using grease on just about anything connected to the clutch pedal and still squeaks.

Now a friend who used to work on the car before I bought it said it might be the pressure plate?? Saying that the dust from the clutch disc is causing it. If this is true would I just have to change my pressure plate and clutch disc and might as well put in a 9lb flywheel while I'm down there, and the squeaks will go away? car now has 180,400 on it, any suggestions will help thank you.

KLDE Vacuum Question

I have two open vacuum nipples Im not sure where they go.

Located between front cam cover and runners on the IM. the bottom nipple runs to solenoid i think for the MAF. it has one parrallel nipple above it and one vertical nipple as well, both are open and without hoses.

None of the photos I have or manuals show what I need and was hoping for help on this one. Anyone with a DE can use their car for a reference and help me with this ?

In the pic is the brown hose Im talking about than connects to the bottom nipple. Mine has two open nipples right above where the first brown hose connects the the IM.

The v6 is giving a hard start issue. it cranks for 7 seconds before it starts up. starts up slowly. Had a complete tune up done and still same 7 seconds of hard starting. everything is new , spark plugs ect.

The car will only start up normally only if I tap the gas while cranking a few times then it starts in 2 seconds, If I dont do the tapping on the gas it takes 7 seconds to start.

I have a 94 MX-6 LS 2.5 atm. A guy parks next to me everyday who
is driving a 92 Lexus SC400 2 door with sunroof.

These cars look almost identical in body design, especially in terms of
the size of the car. And viewed from the front, they look very similar. It looks like the SC400 could be an MX-6 that gained 10 lbs. Since they were manufactured about the same time, it makes you wonder who the design teams were, and if they were closely affiliated.

I talked to the guy the other day, he just went for inspection - and got
the dreaded no-pass high NO2 number, recommend EGR replacement....!

This got me thinking how do the old cars that are 30+ years old pass
emissions ? I see many of them on the road driven daily, and they don't
have any of the recent sensors or ECU. Do they all have to pass emissions,
or are some exempt ? Or do they have to retro-fit, with all the associated
expense that would bring.

And if the KLZE engine doesn't have the EGR, does anyone have these in
states that require emissions tests ? If so, what do you do ?
