Ok so I am hoping Gavin or someone can help me out with this one...

First of all Its a MTX `91 MX6 GT,

I need to find a new set of half shaft hub/support arm bolts. Does any one know where i can buy them as a complete set or does anyone know the bolt specs where i can just buy them individually?

I am really clueless on this and I was also wondering if I need a new axle C-clip since the axle keeps coming out of the transmission...? Where can i buy one of these too if needed?

I am trying to tackle this myself. Heres the link to my old thread explaining more about the problem.

Even in text form of what they are connecting would be better than the Chilton diagram.

So my 91 PGT yesterday started up and died immediately. Started on the second try. Did it again later on that day, same symptom.

This morning, I go outside to start it up and it dies. Tried this 3 more times, same thing. Had to take my other vehicle to work.

I would think this was a massive vacuum leak. But yesterday the car did run and drive fine once it started. Maybe a hose was wiggling its way off and finally came off the whole way after yesterday's shut down?

No CEL codes as of yesterday.

My friend just got an 89 ford probe gt 5 speed. It has a lot of mods but is still around stock hp. He had it for two days and wasnt that mean to it. The differential spyder gears broke out of the differential and broke out of the tranny casing at the shifter linkage. The tranny has 150,000 miles on it. Has this happened to anyone before and what is the explanation for why the shaft broke for the differential gears and went through the side of the tranny? Here is a picture of the damage.

Why is there a difference in part number depending on the vin for my car? Or at least according to Rockauto...

I THINK i need out tie rod ends. I have a clunking/binding sound up front, and when i jack the car up, i can wiggle the wheel. Not side to side, but if i grab the top and bottom of the wheel, and push forward and back, i have a slight amount of play going that way, so that wouldn't that rule out ball joints?

I was drivin my car and all of a sudden died. I am a diesel mechanic and have suitable knowledge of cars. have checked all the usual things likethe timing belt, fuel pump and if the car is getting spark.Have been working at it all day and it did try to start a couple of times and did start once but than bogged down and died again, and now wont even try to start. the car ran excellent before this it only has 120k on it.and hand plenty of power and was really fun to drive. If you guys can give me any suggestions it would be appreciate it.thank you.

hey all,

had the car at the mechs the other day and was told the head gasket on my car is done. quoted ~$1000 AUD to fix and I told him not to worry about.

How should I go about this? DIY? or what.

Need to know so I can get this bitch on the road finally.

Cheers
