so, im about done for the fall as far as mods to the car go. ive got my shifter in, and the pillar needs to be done with gauges soon. i do not work on it in the winter (i snowboard. thats where all my $$ goes lol) so this is pretty much my list for spring:

to get done before winter:
triple gauge a-pillar w/ A/F, Volt and Oil Press. gauges

spring build to include:
headers
JDM spec headlights w/8000k HIDs *
cold air intake*
STB's front and rear
sway bars*
fidanza 9lb flywheel
ksport control pro coilovers or reputable lowering springs/struts *
ASA AR1 17' rims in silver
Drilled/Slotted rotors *
dont know what tires i want yet
tint re-done to 25% or so
backseat tear-down?

now, these are all things i WANT to get done for sure. unless it has a question mark. as for things with an *, i either dont know where to go to get the part, or i dont know which way to go with it, like the suspension.
soo i would like some help filling in the blanks lol. also take note it is my daily driver. thanks guys :)

EDIT: mods if this is in the wrong forum please correct it for me?

I never thought of this, and figured I would present it here for your comments. On the surface it seems like a good idea but I'm not so sure.

For lowered cars stock and most aftermarket struts can bottom out and cause damage to the strut assembly because the strut rod is designed for the stock ride height and spring.

Correcting this by machining the rod shorter has been suggested on another forum I stop in on from time to time, what do you think?

My own thoughts are:
Spend more money on the proper parts in the first place.
It seems like a hard part to properly modify.
Failure of the newly machined strut rod would be dangerous.

HI my name is Daniel. I am new to the site and unfortunately cureently do not own an MX-6 Anymore. It was my first car and I shared many great memories with it.

My question is back when I was doing mods for my car I had to use a few parts from other cars and I dont 100% remmeber what throttle body could be used. I currently own a Protege5 and to the best of my knowledge its the same 2.0 as in the old Mx-6. Now back to question wasn't there an old Mustang throttle body that was easily interchangeable between the mustang and the Mx-6 If I recall it was 5mm bigger and not to hard to install.
Thanks for your time.

hybrid ze on a budget

So we spin #6 bearing after 4k into ze swap... Picked up a klde for 50 bucks. 171k on it. 175 compression. Swappin ze heads and 131 cams on. Got fel pro perma torque head gaskets. That's our budget... So the question is swapping the springs and retainers as recommended so I want to just change the intake springs and retainers or all of them? Gonna boost later so not swappin pistons. So I need to know which springs snd retainers (front or back) or all... And should I be ok with the klde oil pump with high miles?
