just happened to come across this a while ago...

the bottom is how many degrees after BDC that the intake cam closes, and the lines in the graph are RPMs and vertical on the left make the intake length...

cut out the inlet.gif on the link and you can read up a bit more on the rest of the site, I read some interesting info there before

The idea of ITB's has been floating around in my head for a while now. My basic idea would be a set from a motorcycle of some sort, but since this is for a boosted setup I would make a plenum with a built in laminova style water-air intercooler. I havent done any hard research into doing this but the picture does look pretty in my head.

years ago when plymouth and mitsu were sleeping together and having turbo'd offspring, mitsu made a concept "prowler" type vehicle, that was an I4 with quad turbos. it was quite the brute IIRC, but this was years ago when the prowler was a concept...lol

I love the sound of the ITB's !!!!!!!

Here is a link to a awsome sounding *%!$A with ITB's. http://videos.streetfire.net/categor...AD7020C61A.htm Just get past the guy in the beginning and wait till about half way through to hear the music.

O.K. I know this is a Honda but is there any reason a FE3 cannot sound like this with ITB's and correct tune and build? I know this car is a VTEC but will that make alot of differance in the accoustics? The sound in this is just sooo amazing! What do you think?

Does anyone have a properly built/tuned FE3 with ITB's yet and have any audio/video of it too? I would LOVE to hear it. It is the sound which interests me.

good lord, that sound is amazing from that s2000 vtec! My itb's on my fe3 sounded similar to that during his under the hood rev. I have a video with sound of mine doing that too in my b2200 truck. Someone post the link for me!

because its vtech, at higher rpm the cams are much wilder, even with just a cone filter vtechs obviously change note at the rpm setpoint. an fe3 that didnt idle well and had wild cams would probably sound similar.

If you build it we will cuom LOL

ITB's = smile from ear to ear This is what having a ITB equipted car is all about,, The looks, The SOUND and The performance!!!!

In listening to this vid clip there is not that much of a sound differance in low RPM performance/sound from the high RPM. I believe the stock displacement 2.0 FE3 is well capable of achieving this with proper tune/build as-well-as those with larger displacement FE3 engines. (This is what I have to say!)>>>Lets go boys AND ladies and make the FE3 something which is sought after for the performance which is (I believe) what makes the FE3 a FE3! I want this in my FE3.

I guess I need to add this to my FE3 "want list" and a long list it is . Time and cash hopefully will allow this in the hopefully slightly near future to come.

I would like to hear all your responses and experiences with this ITB conversion on our engines.
