FE3 exhaust manifold flange DXF file, and T3 exhaust inlet flange DXF file

I hope you all appreciate this, here are the designs for the manifold flange, and std. T3 inlet side.

I cant guaruntee that the turbo flange is correct as I plagarised it from some other 4 cyl site. though, it looks about right in size.

I cant guaruntee that the fe3 flange is correct either, as i havent had it cut yet.

you are all welcome to review it and criticise etc.

you should note that the port holes are 0.2mm larger than the gasket size which is in turn about 3mm larger than the ports them selves, this makes it about right for thin walled tube to be welded inside it after being crushed, and be about exactly port matched.

if you want to use bigger pipe or but weld it, be my guest, but you have tweaking ahead of you.

i used QCAD for doing this on linux, its available for all three main platforms too.

once i find a file hosting service... :

enjoy :-)

fred.

EDIT :

I have rehosted the files, they are here :

T3 turbo turbine inlet flange dxfs :
T3.flange.dxf
T3.flange.filled.dxf

FE3 exhaust manifold flange dxfs :
mazda.fe.dohc.ex.manifold.flange.dxf
mazda.fe.dohc.ex.manifold.flange.solidfil.dxf
mazda.fe.dohc.ex.manifold.flange.crosshat.dxf

i also put them in the first post.

if these ever stop working, please use the site to pm or email me and i will attempt to rehost them.

thanks, fred.

Nice stuff Fred, I'm sure this stuff will prove damn handy when I get to making some decent extractors

it needs work, i made the port holes slightly too small for 44.5od and a bit too big for 41.3od tube. considering with a 1.6mm wall, the 41.3 is SMALLER than the stock ports, i'm going to go with 44.5. if i move the points for the ports up and down 0.5mm each, it works out at equiv 44.8mm diameter, so thats what i'm going to do. will post here when i've done it.

has anyone got any saved pics, or links to pics of nice equal length style fe3 turbo manifolds? i remember some, but i doubt i'll be able to find them.

for NA use, the dimensions could be reduced a bit. i just wanted it to have plenty of meat without making it big and square...

for reference, the ports are : 27.5 by 44.5 leaving a 17mm straight section and a 13.75mm radius on each end.

the gasket has a shade under 33 by 50 giving a 16.5 radius

for the flange i will make it 34 x 51, with a 17mm radius. at this, 44.5od pipe or U or donut will be very snug fit inside. i'm happy to dremel a bit to make them fit for the "perfect" fit.

if you are happy with the smaller diameter tube, use it as is. though, i still cant guarutee the bolts spacing, but my vernier thinks its within about 0.05mm ;-) we'll see if i'm any good with a rule or not :-)

the corrected versions good for a tight fit of 44.5OD tube.

Here are my pics, not equal, but free flowing in design.

I just got them back from the Thermal Coaters. (it should be black to last the longest, but the chrome finish will last a couple of years).

Things left to do are, finish the IC pipe plumbing and get it thermal coated, modify one AC line at the compressor, then make the dump pipe and then tune the sucker.
