did you know...

that a 94mm F2T crank, in a FE3 block using FE3 152mm rods, will give the 2.2DOHC a rod to stroke ratio that IS almost exactly the golden section! That has got to account for something... DaVinci inspired engine geomtries lol

r/s ratio of 2.2DOHC = 1.6170212...
golden section ratio = 1.6180339...

thats pretty close eh? I wonder what effects it has on the engine...

fe3 rods are 150mm not 152mm. fe sohc has 152mm rods my eagle h beam 6 inch chev rods are 152.4mm giving a rod ratio of 1.6212766

I don't know where he got the section part from. Its just called the golden ratio. Golden ratio - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

sweet!! these rods are almost exact FE-sohc rod dimensions!!

witch pistons to use? ive got a spare fe soch engine, so if i took the rods from it, and combine with f2 crank, and some pistons that fit? witch pistons?

im using sr20 pistons with the crown machined down about 2mm

so if i use the orginial fe3 rods, i could buy a set of sr20 pistons and machine it down 2mm and it will work withoud modifing the block or head?

no im using 152mm sohc rods you could use stock 150mm rods with no mods
