The 2 bagel intake manifold.
Hello people, you will already be disappointed to find out that there are no pics here yet. i should however have my pc back tomorrow or so, and be able to show you the work thats gone on.
The 2 bagel intake has taken weeks to materialise, and hours to think up. It is totally free of turbulence, and though not the optimal shape for maximum air flow, its not far off. all corners are radiused and all flow is smooth. construction is as always steel sheet migged together in interesting ways. its attached to a stump of an f8 dohc manifold by four 160C 44mm id goodyear radiator hose sections and no less than 16 hi torque hose clamps (to provide more even clamping and sealing than 8 T bolt types would have done. if it seems i am being vague, its because i'm trying to build suspense... tune in later for the pictures... fred. |

i know, what a slack bastard... should have laptop back tomorrow. this arvo i stripped all the unneeded crap from the throttle. and plugged some holes left behind...
its a perfect match to the gtr intercooler, exactly the same size hose will go onto both. ie 3" just like the exhaust ;-) i can almost hear the harmony from inside the house. fred. |

i should post a pic of my feet
the skin is about 2mm thick i can burn it with red hot metal and i dont feel it till much much later (if ever) the thick dead skin is full of bits of steel (mostly from the die grinder and drill) its customary to not wear shoes here, though most city dwellers have forgotten it. no spiders no snakes no disease on the streets no broken glass lying around (mostly) no big bitey ants... no reason to wear shoes at all until the old toes start getting numb in the worst of the rainy season we call winter. anyway, enough ranting about that, better go out and finish the bastard. fred. |
