wow, someone actually bothered to do it! cool :-) what are your plans for cam drive, have you got the kia sprocket too? you will probably need that, or some other solution.

hey..that´s a question... i´m using mazda fe 8 valve cam gears in both exhaust and intake, the intake in the "3" position and the exhaust in the "1" position...i use a degree wheel to determinate wish position use...and for the timing belt, use one from a opel 1.9 diesel engine...i´m gonna install it today and take some pictures...

im using the stock gear box from the 2.0 carbureated...it´s long geared... i can make 207 kph (according to the digital speedo) at 4800 rpm in fifth gear.

i was wondering if that would be your answer :-)

do they mount up ok?

can you put your pics on something that accepts a higher resolution than sh|tty facebook?

photobucket seems to have better loading times than imageshack.

in the options tab of photobucket you can make your default 1024x768, thats what i use.

fred.

Hot damn! That's pretty impressive. Of course not something I'd do since we've got real FE-DOHCs about, but for the US guys this stuff should be gold

Dictator - one ruling absolutely and often oppressively
Contrary to popular belief, these are not the same things...

so if this can be done "assuming it works with no problems" slap dohc head onto a f2t might be about to give the old stump puller some more go

no...i´m not assuming
... it works great¡¡¡... it´s the third i make this way...the other two are for some customers... but this is for my personal ride.
one of them is made over a f2 and the other over a fe. and they both work very nice...this time i take all the experience aquired from these two and made it´, easyly , with less guess work, and documenting the process

i´m just uploading the pics of the timing.. you can see :the intake cam gear , is from a 85-90 323 and the exhaust cam gear is from the 626 fe, because of the tensioner position, is mandatory, to check the timing every time you mount it , with a degreeing wheel.

please note that this is the first time i use this timing gear arrangement..any suggestions??

fredio, im sorry, the bad quality of the pics is caused by the camera (motorola e2 cell phone).i´ll try to take some real camera pics and place it in photo bucket as you suggest.

Nice work with the EVO 8 manifold...
I might try that instead of the BP turbo one that I have here that apparently mounts upside down (for a high mount which I dont really want)
