Not a bad setup. I dont think the height would clear though.

That's an HX52W which is substantially larger than yours/mine ;-) It's under a civic bonnet which can't have much/any more space. Or do you mean where the bottom ends up relative to the road?

Typically the head is wider than the middle of the block anyway, so low mounting is a better option in many cases. It also means shorter smother ex flow which is one major reason i went low down even though I had less space down there.

Fred.

I just read through your build and checked out the pictures, great build! Good to see a fairly sized turbo on an FE3. My car looks just like yours, Red 89 PGT. Keep up the good work

It is sitting back home in Michigan, still. I spent the last year and a half working as the Powertrain Leader for my school's FSAE team and now I am in Chicago for an internship. This fall I will finally have access to it but with no job and a lot of classes to finish

Great pics! Good info on clearance issues too, my new radiator would not fit with such a setup.

Very cool project, I hope you get it running fine

Well MS modifications complete. Including removing VB921 coil driver and adding (2)BIP373 coil drivers. Wired them to a DB15 connector and R26/R29 for spark A&B. I used 14 GA wire for all modifications. Mounted the LED's on the top cover of the MS case. So baisically none of the spark accept the signal connection runs through the traces, due to there apparent weakness. All of the leads are heat shrink wraped and new spark harness finnished. Pictures and video in my next post. Later
