2500 ?? with a 550hp journal turbo?? lol ummm, not likely. We'll see I guess.

i have 122kpa at 3500

something like 110kpa at 3k

170kpa at 4k and anything at 5k (17psi in my case)

I think you can do better, but how much, not so sure...

Certainly top end won't be as strong with more exhaust AND intake restriction, but it will be interesting to see how it goes at low rpms.

My datalogs were patchy at best, I'll do a bunch more one day to fully illustrate what it does as is.

how much boost do you think you want at less than 3k?

How much do you want at 4k?

how much for full boost? where do you think you'll see it?

Fred.

Intake restrictions arn't going to be a problem with the new intake and Mustang TB. Exhauste is 3" mandrel bent with high flow cat and Flowmaster 60 series Delta muffler.

how much boost do you think you want at less than 3k? 3-5

15 @ 4k might be achievable, but 3 - 5 at 3k, hmmmm, maybe.

your 22- 25 should be in earlier than 5500 IMO, but we'll see I guess :-)

Good luck, I hope you are right and I am wrong! :-)

it will probably hit sooner, but at 5500 that is the boost level I want to see.

Lund- I ran a flowmaster muff for a bit - replaced it with a standard "turbo" style muffler and the turbo spooled 200-300 rpm sooner through out the rev band. Just a thought.

Excellent build btw- looking forward to it running.

What size was your exhaust though? I am also trying to keep it as quiet as possible for leagle reasons, although i will put in an exhaust cutout with electronic controle. That will deffinatley change the spool characteristics.

From a fellow he351cw owner, it is that loud! lol, however, it does sound nice, no rasp. At idle my dad complained that he could feel his floor vibrating above...

2.5m of dead straight 3" pipe/mufflers. I want to do more to muffle it, but without adding restriction. No idea how just yet.

Well tonight i shall go and finish the angine build, untill i recieve my intake that is, for the time being. The next step is going to be modifying the f2t dissy for know, or deciding to go opto and use the factory fe3 unit, not sure yet. The pro's for the fe3 unit is less costom fabrication and dirrect mounting locations, oh and correct timing alignment. Now that i put it like that i dont know why i was bothering with the f2t unit so long when it was a temp solution. Fred, i know. No need to bother. So i will change my ms over to opto readings and go from there. Also need to finish the ignition circut. I will also finnish the down pipe. Pictures LATE tonight. Later dudes.

LOL, it's all good dude, all I have to say is this : good learning experience on the "doesn't matter motor" which I assume is why you were doing it anyway :-)

Kudos for giving it a shot man. Many don't even do that!

Do get a crank pickup eventually though, with the traction to power you are going to have... you'll need dynamic accuracy, and the FE3 cas just can not deliver that on it's own.

I am already ploting a 36-1 with a cop style setup, you know the Yukon coils have been a recent project of mine. I was trying to figure it out on the throw away motor. On to better cas related things. By the way how accurate is CAS for turbo applications?
