No they wont work. The F2T rods are longer than the FE rods.

and shorter rods would mean what, less compression?

You would have no compression. The FE is a square design at 86x86mm where as the F2 is 86x94mm. Quite a difference in stroke.

RbluEMx6: There is a big diffrence between FE and FE3, so please learn which engine you are talking about. Right now when posting in the FE3 section there is no problem, but there could be further down the road.

All FE engines dohc, sohc 12v, sohc 8v are by nature 86x86, however bore doesnt matter a damn. Only stroke. I know you realise this, but like eraezer said, others may not. The latter quote would be preferred :-p

Correct, not much, you could calculate it, but at the top of the stroke (if your pistons didn't fowl the crank or block) you would be 8mm below deck and your compression ratio would be around 4:1 which is a little too low even for stupidly high boost. Worse though, you would have zero quench.

4:1 is not = 1:1

Fred.

sorry i was wrong!!
had the f2t and the fe3 cranck thing in mind. stroke opf the f2t is excactly 8mm longer than the fe3 and in that case the postin would raise 4mm above deck ( if yuo use a 2.2 crank in a fe3 with f2t or fe3 pistons)

but as stated freds right!
