you are 100% right, but the guy he sold it to contacted me privately and explained the situation. so, with all due respect (a lot more than for stroker) its true :-)

Ahh thats what I figured. What happened do you know? And who was it? I always wonder who buys these parts and never ends up showing up on the forums. Probably someone from Probetalk right?

bent from excess long term stress at high power levels. pa for the course i guess. something to keep in mind when trying to squeeze stock parts for all they are worth.

can these rods be used to build the stroker motor? i just want to check before saying i would be in.

correct me if i am wrong, i have been trying to read and learn here!, i use the 2.2 crank with the stock fe3 rods and the custom pistons posted here?

as well, at what point would forged rods be nescessary? i only plan on running low boost on a stroked motor. hoping for maybe 250whp.

thanks

they'll work with the stroker, you just need the "stroker" pistons. You would probably be ok at 250hp, but the stroker sees more strain and at $260 you can't beat it.

Usually rods like these are nearly $260 per unit, so if in doubt - do it!

If we can get 22 people to get two sets($520), then the bulk buy would definetly go through. $520 for 2 sets is still cheaper compared to the "other companies" 1 set. You can use the extra set in another fe3 or hold on to them to resell them. You would definetly get your money back if not more. If everyone gets 2 sets the bulk buy will happen a lot faster.

you can put me down for a set. any details on how payment would be handled when the time comes?

if i end up getting my spare motor and a little extra cash when this is closer to going through i may be in for 2 sets, but i will keep it at 1 for the time being.

$260us , shipping shouldn't be too much. I can't get a pic until the bulk buy goes through, but here is a similar rod.
