How much lighter are these new rods than stock rods? lighter would increase faster revs.

I have to say, I'm pretty much sold on them, shame I'm totally broke and won't see an engine for a long long time.

you don't want lighter, unless its titanium. you want it heavier with much stronger bolts. can't beat weight when you want something strong.

these have very good bolts in them and wont be much heavier. they should be good to big hp.

ok, after the cory sales pitch I'm in for one set. It really is silly to build an engine w/o a set at that price.

Given the popularity of this engine outside the states, you'd think there might even be some shops that would want some sets... just a thought.

good point, i am just having a hard time finding anything outside the US. I can't really find any forums or stores, and if I do they are in another language, i'll keep trying though.

They are only "popular" in two places :
USA/Canada (sorry for clumping)
Australia

why? only two places to get turbo models in bulk.

to the rest of the world they are transport for most and niche for some and far from popular. which is good cause it means they are cheap.

I'm keen with a bunch of conditions IE, i am broke right now... and 2.5 years away from needing them if ever. Put me down as discussed the other night Cory!

Scat is big in VW circles. I'm a big VW fan.

Sounds like a bloody good deal to me.

Fred.
