I'm liking that valve cover too.....

you guys in cold countries definitely do it tough in the corrosion area....
That radiator is a classic.

Mind you if you lived where I do that radiator wouldnt even allow you to make it to the first block before the temp went off the scale....even in winter.

Its too bad I cant send you my old one, you'd be able to get another couple of years out of it

Luckily the first few hot days have been when I didn't need to drive much

Couldn't install the radiator last weekend when I realized the only proper way to install it is to use rivet nuts on the mounting frame and couldn't get to the store in time :/

Sixsick6, I've thought about extrude honing, but I don't want to send the parts on a very long trip, there are cases where these things take several months which would be rather bad for my schedule. Abrasive flow honing is a great method. though!

STW, after-run cooling would be great, but you have to have an electric water pump or there won't be much flow happening between radiator and engine. I know there will be some, but probably not enough to prevent boiling of hot spots etc which are what do damage (diff parts at diff temps). I wouldn't run just an electric pump, BUT, I would consider running one in series such that I could power it up with a turbo timer or similar.

Thanks for the replies. I'm almost done with the intake (been doing 11 hour days at work for the last few weeks, so no much progress there!), I'll finish the last valley between long runner intakes, and then I thin the VICS axle a bit.

I just today received the receipt for Autotech springs, going to pick them up tomorrow! finally some more parts have arrived Still waiting for certain deals to go through with the bulk buy.... *cough cough*

Stuff I have now in order:

ACL tri-metal bearings (a steal compared to OEM!)
Wiseco custom pistons (ordered with number MAZFE22T865 on the custom spec sheet )

Still to be decided on:

Valves (probably cut Subaru EJ20 ex valves by Ferrea if possible)
ARP stud kit

Last month I got really little done.

Got the VR6 springs today, though it'll be a good while until I get to install them... they're quite massive compared to OEM

The guy at customs office was on ultra low speed mode, but there they are!

Got my new Fidanza 6-puck clutch, and... oopsie! The ring on the flywheel is notched for a reason. Mounting points for the friction plate on the pressure plate assembly protrude quite a bit from the plate inside the flywheel, and now there's interference. I must have the flywheel machined a bit so i can make it fit; shouldn't be a big issue at all. Pics as soon as I can upload them (ie. not from here)

Here be the pic of the clutch:

...scary! And it's built for G5M transmission and will hold abt 710Nm/520lb ft, pretty much equals to transmission shrapnell...

The pressure plate is painted with metallic paint, and so is every other dampening spring.... I think it'd make precious little difference once installed

STW, do you wire 100 Ampere fusees to your 60 Watt light bulbs that run from 240 Volts too? :-)

Update on last few weeks;

I got the flywheel machined to fit the pressure plate, no problems.

The ACL bearings arrived. They're "Duraglide 780" sort, sounds kind of naughty to me.

Bought an aluminium sports drink bottle for the VICS solenoid vacuum reserve. Originally the top of the chamber was used, but since that space is now a part of the intake chamber, I need a new reservoir. Haven't tested how it withstand vacuum yet.

Pistons should arrive in a week or two.
