Sticky rearrangement poll, give us your thoughts!!

Hi, months ago, I suggested they make me a mod so I could tidy up the fe3 section a bit and make it a nicer place to be. That request was rejected because of my "bad" attitude :-)

I suggested this at the time, and I've suggested it since, but nothing much has happened.

What I would like to see is the following :
  • official FE3 related items for sale thread
  • PSA:READ and SEARCH before you post!
  • FE-DOHC/FE3 stickies thread

The new thread which I will post shortly before this one just so that it's really easy to make this happen should contain the following threads :

DJfakes top end
DJfakes bottom end
HLA thread
My index thread
evo's faq
oddballs build lists

and any others deemed sticky material. Less important stuff should be in my index thread...

It would go from looking like this :

To looking like this :

To see what you, the users, think about this proposal, I have put up a poll, Please vote on A, my way, B how it is, C other and post a suggestion to match your vote.

Cheers,

Fred.

i think its a good idea, mostly since having 20 stickies makes newbs not want to read them. if you have 1 or 2 with all the info they need, it usually makes for less dumb questions.

There are way to many sticky's in the list now. So one tread with all the sticky's in it would be a good idea.

Sorry for my bad english.

I have the utmost faith in Fred's ability to get this [shizzle] straight. It's so full of misinformation now it's a task to weed out the good from the evil. Fred is the master archiver and he'll lay out the information so it's comprehensible.

I dunno, I don't think dividing it down is worthwhile, there just isn't enough traffic to justify splitting inherently related things away from each other IMO. If that is not what you meant, please explain.

I vote Fred and myself for mod of Imagination Land (snowballs chance in hell for either of us even though we'd both do a great job and are here for the right reasons). I vote clean it up too.

PS- There really isn't any active moderating going on in the 1G section either and it could have used it some time ago.

I no longer have time to be a mod, though, I could do it just in my daily time here, but as stated via pm, my services are not required :-)

All I wanted to do when I asked was fix this up anyway. This section very rarely needs any moderation at all. Just admin tidying etc...

Thanks anarchy and sick for your words though :-)

Fred.

Why is that? Someone is offering to fix a 'problem' and the users want it also. I don't get it.

Sorry for my bad english.

I run a business and this is exactly how people get disillusioned. It is like my customers saying to me "Barry I love your product but it needs a little tweaking to make it more user friendly"

The ideal arrangement is to work with the customer and get it right so everyone benefits and I do that because I know if I do not listen and work with my customers my business is knackered.

Things have to evolve, business is a partnership between it and the customers, if they are not happy they will walk, there is no room for power trips from Administrators, they have a duty to listen and to keep this forum alive, to take advice and suggestions from members(the customers)Ignore your customers to your own peril, basic business principle.

In saying all that, this forum is excellent and offers a great deal of information for new and existing members alike but when an offer is made to make this forum better (business) by its members (customers) who have only the forums (business) in mind and are more than able to fulfill the role of this service only to be brushed aside and ignored then the writing is on the wall sadly..............

Admin you need to learn to listen to your community and ask yourselves will it help your members. Bit of delegation never goes astray.

Good Luck

Barry
