Update on my build...

well i started to put a motor together this weekend to get my car running again. In the future, I will be building a brand new engine with the forged crank, scat rods, and new wiseco pistons once i get everything. I pretty much had enough extra stuff to make a spare engine, so I figured I could get the car back on the road for now and put the new motor in later. This motor has the JE forged 8.5-1 pistons with the stock kia rods and crank. You can also see how nicely the custom MLS gasket fits.

For anyone that plans on using a kia block:
the oem mazda block has 2 oil pressure feeds on the back of the block. I would use one for my gauge and the other went to the turbo. The kia block only has one oil pressure feed on the back, so today I found a nice brass fitting that would fix that problem...
