bpt - with all due respect - you obviously don't have any idea what's been going on. Please re-read everything here because you're completely off base on most of your comments.

I'm not giving any credit to paypal. I know they can't do [shizzle]. That's why I want stroker to paypal the money to someone_else. If stroker isn't a scammer, he will voluntarily send the money to someone else more capable of either refunding the money to those who have paid, or managing this bulk buy. The future of the bulk buy can be figured out afterward.

magical powers? wtf are you spewing man.. re-read and this time with comprehension. You assert he isnt scamming? great! then there should be no problem transferring the money to zach.

Priority number one is getting the money out of the hands of someone who has shown themselves to be less than reliable. The debate isn't stroker's ban. I don't come to your forum telling you how to discipline members - so don't do so here. The topic of debate is the money, and potential future of the bulk buy.

Before commenting further- re-read what has transpired, and don't skim this time.

as i said, if you can figure out a way to transfer funds without a fee that will retranslate back unto the members & not loosing stroker's monetary investment to helping us. then i will back you 100%. until then i hold strict to my thoughts that its not a good idea. someone along the lines will be taking a sore hit with fees & that means less money in everyones pocket. if we initally had more cooperation in collecting money & less people backing out i feel as if this would have already pressed through.

Zach, when you contact scat. please gather an estimated rod weight. big end & small end as well. Thanks

as a whole everyone wants to see this group buy succeed.

I'm actually going to be putting in some of my own cash to offset the fees that will be incurred during these transfers.

BPT, I will get the spec sheet emailed/faxed to me and will post the info.

Now...we just have to wait until the money is secured...

the interest percentage that has been getting earned on that paypal money is greater than the fee percentage... so it has already been explained that the paypal balance, including the accrued interest should be transferred by stroker, to offset.

If needed, both zach and myself are willing to put up the 3.2% difference, if it comes down to refunds.

I don't know if this will matter or not but Scat is located in Redondo Beach which is only 2 hours from my house.

Pauter and Crower are also in San Diego.

Its hard to get a transaction account with a bank that actually pays any net interest here in Oz....the fees more or less cancel it out.

But I did also point out to Zach about the transfer fee, and if your both willing to cover it...I happy that shows commitment to the BB.

I dont think there is much difference between the US and AUD if anything there might be slightly more due to to the USD slipping a bit since this started.
However I will be talking with Stoker on Monday (he is out of town this w/e) and one or other of us should be able to get this money moved.

I was under the impression the money was sitting in paypal still - is this untrue?

paypal pays an interest, regardless of location, in their money market, on any positive balance... so he still would have been earning interest on the paypal balance.

YouTube - Assumption is the mother of all [fizzle]ups :-)

Why would it be when he couldn't use that to get it to SCAT because they don't have that...

My PayPal account balance is currently earning 2.3% in the Money Market. I can withdraw however much of my balance at any time.
