Zach yep, its time i made a project thread too. so onward with the pics. a. 1989 mx6 gt 4ws ![]() b. 10:1 fe3 engine with feap/fe3n cams ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() c. UPDATE: 8/16/08.. mostly just more pics for the night
![]() it seems my f2t wasn't as old as i though it was. the vin number i found on the back of the block doesn't match mine and instead goes to a 1990 626gt hatch ![]() also included is some pics of the final tear down of the f2t. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() enough of the old f2t, now on to the new fe3 (plus the accessories)![]() stock mazda oil filter ![]() gt oil cooler on an fe3 ![]() ![]() everything bolted on ![]() ![]() dirty engine bay awaiting cleaning an a new motor ![]() ![]() old worn out tranny (reverse and 5th are screwed.) and last but not least, the pics of my all day work area. thanks ghetto engine hoist! (which is now broken.) ![]() ![]() |

thanks to my friend scruffy for staying up till 5am to help me with this install
![]() (thats him, not me) ![]() on a related side note, i pulled the passenger side cv joint apart on accident trying to get it back out of the tranny. now i have to get a metal tie to hold the boot on and pack some more grease back in ![]() |

and now for some useless repair and weight reduction
![]() stock broken gt seat on left, 626 dx bottom on right i got for $9.99 ![]() ![]() disassembly ![]() filled hole ![]() ![]() poor old broken track ![]() in the end it was a 10lbs loss (55lbs stock, 45lbs after track swap) and it ended up sitting a little lower in the car too. works just find too, i just need to relube the tracks.
