Comments On: Worklog: Compnut's fe3t 4ws project (56k... no.)
Do you want a comments thread? Or can I post here?
I love the original OEM timing belt! Note H-NBR!! The smashed sensors (that you didn't need) are a bit of a worry though. Bummer about the FEAP cam :-( F2T dipstick works correctly with F2T dipstick tube, but is the wrong length with the FE3 tube. You could trim/remark if it's too long though.
for anything small i have boxes and coffee cans. then i put everything in the trunk at night (except the old f2t parts and the radiator, which go under the hood.
grass is dead from the car sitting there . also usually those tarps are under the car and theres more plywood sitting around, but it was sunny as hell out so i used them to make a tent instead for easier working.
nice progress, clean looking engine. good job man cant wait to see/hear it running.
why did you choose to put the stock gt oil cooler on?

2 reasons really. a. im planning to turbo it so it would probably help to keep it and b. it also helps warm up the oil on cold starts since its cooled by the coolant.
also im gonna convert this to a log/comment setup like suggested earlier to cut back on images and pages. could a mod move this please?
A mod should remove the "no 56k" from this comments thread so it doesn't put people off.
I added a link to the top of this thread to the one with content, I assume comp nuts added one in reverse to his thread, but I didn't check, if not, he should :-)
Nice work compnut, i like the ghetto engine hoist! Cool escort too, we have those in Australia, except they are called a Ford Laser. My friend has the 4-door version with a BPT and a TD06, goes good!
