you dont have to piggyback of the stock wiring harness to install ms, its just an easier route for most. if you do want to go that route, you will probably have to find a wiring diagram and break it down for the non turbo. i dont think wiring pinout has ever been posted
the benefit of a dx though is that its quite a bit lighter. if you want a track car, a dx is a good choice in my opinion.but i think you should probably get some experience with MS on the f2 first before taking on a fe3 project. could save you quite a bit in the long run, but i could be wrong
