Its probably not just SA. I had an ex JDM ford Telstar with the FE3 which I pulled the motor from. It still has the ford badge on the valve cover sitting in the corner of my garage.

What you want is to just not run a cover at all. Use small fans to push the oil back in as it sprays out. Here's mine, without ford/mazda badge, and still with holes/raised text:

Yea I'd definitely move that onto the intake manifold or make the line longer and put a loop in it. Just the movement of accel to decel will wear that thing prematurely.
