16 x .5 farad capacitors for cheap! $22/ea or TRADE! stops dimming lights!!!

Only $22 / each!!! Or, you can have ALL 16 if you have a CAI or headers, or some other performace part to trade.

Why do I have so many to sell? I needed some for the install in my MX-6, as I went way up in power (2000watts), so I bought some Lightning Audio Powercell Upgrade Capacitors in bulk and have these 16 left over.

So, why do you need a capacitor? Well, if your lights dim whenever the bass hits, or your subs crap out at high volume, a capacitor may be just what you need. A capacitor sits close to the amplifier, and is able to supply it with high amounts of current very quickly - much faster than your car's battery or alternator can. When an amp has sufficient current, it send out a cleaner signal and higher power to your subs, and the amp runs much cooler.

They are direct from the manufacturer - they were meant to be an add on to the Lightning Strike series of amplifiers, and they had a propietary way of going inside the amp itself.

See them here: mmxpress.com/lightning/amp_upgrades.htm (NOTE: THEY STILL SELL FOR $85 EACH!!!).

I got them without the funky looking plastic wrapping that is purely for looks. I do have the proprietary top-piece that goes on top and it includes gold plated bolts and a hex key - these would let you slide these into a Lightning Strike amp if you had one. But the caps themselves don't need that, and can be used/mounted just like any other 1/2 farad capacitor.

As for your spacers - do they make any difference on an otherwise stock engine, or do you have to get a ze im?

they lower air temps and they are made for the american spec. your engine temps will reduce which gives alittle more power but really helps the life of the engine.

Well, I have 10 left of the ones that I was going to sell, but many people have asked to put some on hold for them, but I can't hold them forever...

Additionally, I've decided I don't need all of the 16 that I was going to keep for myself - I'm probably only going to end up keeping 8-10, so technically I have up to 16 that are currently available.

As an side note: I've still got my Alpine 6.5" in-dash screen, Panasonic head unit with motorized center channel, Sirius Satellite radio and antenna, a nice PC, and some 93 stock MX6 wheels for sale/trade as well. I've finally moved into my new house (at least mostly), so I'll be definitely trying to move these items as quick as possible (less storage space in my new house than in my old one).

I'll take one off you, did you get my pm?

And just curious, are you planning on using all 10 caps? I thought the rule was 0.5 farads per 500W... Unless you have the king of all systems

Hello,

Sorry for the late reply. Canada should be no problem. I looked up shipping via Fedex Ground and it says $12. I PMed you with my Paypal info.

As far as why I want 10 caps for myself. I'm keeping 5 caps for my car, 4 for my wife's, and 1 for my friend. I've got two 1000W class D amps and a 4x100 in the MX6. I was going to keep a bunch for the install in my lowrider 62 VW bus (4 x Soundstream Reference300 amps), but decided I'd just stay with the 1farad cap that is already there.

Paypal received. That leaves 15 of these. Any other takers? I might be better off just ebaying these....

OK - let me know when you know.

And to everybody else - I have 15 left, so I'll cut you a deal for multiples of five - how about 5 for $90 ($18 each), or all 15 for for $240 (only $16 each!).

Of course, I'm still open to trade offers....
