99 SVT contour fs/ft
i'm just putting this out there. i'm really looking for a trade(possibly)more than anything. i'm located in oneonta ny,and i'm looking to do something in the next month or so.
details: year:1999 make:ford/svt model:contour exterior color:silver interior color:midnight blue tranaxle:mtx 5 spd(only transmission choice available) options:full svt package,sunroof,keyless entry,10 way power drivers seat,a/c,no spoiler,cruise,power windows and mirrors. for those that arent aware of the difference's between a SVT and a se/lx/gl contour/mystique. here's a quick list: svt: 2.5L 200hp-169tq 24v v6---130-170 on the base/se 60mm tb ---53mm on the se v6 ,exhtrude honed upper intake manifold,lower intake manifold from the 3L duratec roush designed hotter cams 10.25:1 compression---9.5:1 on se v6 extrudehoned primary & secondary head ports, lighter flywheel,more aggressive tunning to make use of 91+octane,hand picked crankshaft- 19mm rear sway bar---17mm on non svt 17mm front sway bar--19mm on non svt thicker radiator power steering cooler water to oil oil cooler 10.94" front rotors--9.25" on non svt 4 channel bosch abs specially valved struts specially tuned springs body kit 2.25" stainles mandral exhaust from the ypipe back--2" non mandral on non svt quasi dual exhaust 16x 6.5" cobra r style rims perforated leather interior available in midnight blue or tan only. rear seat redisnged for two psg. leather shift knob,boot,ebrake boot white face gauges w/red needles that read 160mph aero limited top speed of 143mph--ecu limited to 113,aero/hp limited to 131 mods,cause how fun is any car stock suspension: koni adjustable yellow struts(front and rear) eibach springs OMP hd(not a cheap ebay)front strut tower bar brakes: drilled front and rear rotors ss rear brake lines lighting: proburner fogs 6000k low beam hids silverstar "rainbow" corners performance: mustang gt 65mm throttle body,ported and polished(known as optimized on the contour forums) msds shorty headers shoshop high flowypipe and cat removed resonator(muffler style that only has a 2"in/out) bosal canister mufflers(not on,but should be in a week) k&n ru3530 open element filter(determined to flow the proper cfm's for a mildly modded 2.5svt) pudmunkie aluminun heatshield(made for the contique/cougar duratecs) b&m short throw shifter and conterwieghted knob 9mm ford racing wires(discontinued) interior: blue led window switches and lock buttons white face hvac that lights blue autometer water temp guage pioneer 6x8's in all doors mtx four channel amp powering them apc pedal covers mystique rear dome light exterior: svt vynl decal on the bottom of the rear doors reflective decal down the side of the car painted rear reflector and chrome trim chrome oval painted body color "elky" style mesh grills,top,front and rear tinted tails vynl eyelids inside of the headlights painted gloss black reflector removed parkedcar domed build number overlay pre98 blank sail panels pre98 chrome antenna base back three windows tinted ding guards removed stock rims painted black w/allen key style gorillla lug nuts ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() [IMG] http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k108/tour96se/010.jpg[/IMG] ![]() ![]() ![]() 6k hids,just installed ![]() [img] http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k108/tour96se/012.jpg[/img] mileage,168k recent maint. plugs,wires,waterpump,thermostat,battery,pcv valve issues...zero. runs,drives,stops,turns,shifts great!! it was a jewelery store mgr's car to start,he put 131k miles on it by the time he sold it to mike in 2002. mike owned it for five years and put 31k on it. he used it mainly to show his work for his buisness...you guessed it,a vynl shop. lol. so it was driven very little when he had it. condition,i'd rate the interior at 9 out of 10. the only blemish being the the drivers side floor mat is worn. exterior,i'd rate the paint at 8 out of 10,i just buffed it and it cleans up GREAT!! feels like glass. butttt. there is a dent in the drivers rear quart right by the door jamb. and the front bumper,is scarred as well. because i have to list a price..i'd say 2500. i know w/the mods and actual running condition of the car,its worth more to me,and a true enthusiast. but kbb says otherwise. that price doesnt include the rims/mirko/or guages. ideally i'd like to trade for something else. obv my car isn't a turd,so don't offer me something thats rotted,needs a new engine/tranny/clutch..etc. i'm open to most type of vehicle...except trucks. would preffer a similary modded/condition probe gt/mx6 or whatever. |

appearance wise...it's disgusting (to me).
I would've gone with the Bassani exhaust personally, and stuck with stock body styling (ie no vinyl anything), and left the headlights alone and either stayed with stock halogens or done a retrofit. HID's without being properly retrofitted are ass. Hopefully the waterpump, synchro's and main bearings have been checked/replaced? |

lol...there's a WHOLE site of svtc's you'd hate on then..because,save for the vnyl..they all look just like mine!!
waterpump,yes,synchro's..no need to,they're fine, i assume you mean rod bearings..its not something you can replace(correctly that is) w/out turning the crank or checking for clearance. at which point it would be easier and cheaper to drop buy a 3L for 350 dollars and do the required work to put that in. i've had these car's since 01'. i'm well versed in them. as far as bassani..i'll pass. it had a borla...boring and same size as stock. i have a friend selling a brullen,if i keep the car,i'll put that on. or if someone buy's it and is interested i'll give them his contact info. |
