To better answer stoney's question, the best thing to do is to take a few more pics of the tb in the dark with a light behind TB when you take the pictures, so that we can see how well it has sealed. If we can see light coming through the edges, then it's not a full seal and there is a risk of higher than normal idle.

Meh, comparison to a stock TB is a poor one as how does anyone know it's adjusted correctly so the plate closes fully.
It *should* show no light. Any light means you will need to close the idle screw to get the idle right. If there is too much light, then with a screw fully closed, you will get a high idle.

Well on the car that the stock TB came off it it had no idle issues and has not been adjusted since it came off the car. It idled at around 700rpms. As for the bored one it came off my turbo car containing a custom sheet metal manifold and had no idle control hooked up and idled at 800 and again has not been adjusted since. So, i am not sure where you can come to the conclusion that a stock TB is a poor comparison.
How about posting a pic with the throttle plate open so we can see how much the shaft has been machined?
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The man who had nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." -John Stuart Mill
