2004-2008 mazda 3 s front rotors

I have a pair of painted and decaled front calipers for a 2004-2008 mazda 3 s (for a 10.8" diameter rotor, for reference). Misinformed, i bought these calipers to do a big brake conversion on my mx-6. I got them painted and decaled up, then went to bolt 'em on, and surprise! not a chance They were painted with high temperature caliper paint, and using high temperature decals. They are in mint condition, but they will not work on a mx-6. They would be a beautiful finishing touch on a mazda 3! I have had the same thing on my 626 for 3 years and they still look incredible! I am asking $200 for the pair as they are over $100 each, plus tax, paint, decals, labour(we may have to discuss shipping costs if it is too expensive to your location). shipping will be expensive because they are heavy, so pick up would be preferred. I am in Cambridge Ontario. Maybe we can make a deal, give me a shout

I just wanna work on my car right now.

Those are calipers.

Why not get brackets made? Any decent shop could do it in an hour.

I was going to, but in this case, it is't that easy. I would have to machine away most of the area where the original calipers mount to make clearance for the new mounting bolts. There wouldn't be much material left to suppprt the new setup. I'm a licensed machinist, i was going to make up the brackets myself, but i didn't think it was worth while in the long run. I ended up just getting the proper mazda 6 front calipers.

On second thought...

A bracket could be made up if it was done in such a way that the location of the caliper was moved (rotated around the rotor maybe 20 degrees). Then the holes wouldn't interfere with each other, it looked right, but i never checked if the offset was correct for the depth of the rotor(midpoint between the braking faces of the rotor relative to the midpoint between the pads when sitting in the caliper). But if anyone wants to try this, you will need the mazda 3 flex line that goes into the calipers, because they have a flare union fitting instead of the mx-6's banjo fitting. The brake line going into the flex line would need to be cut and re-flared as it uses a bubble flare as opposed to our double flare. So in hindsight i probably could've made it work, but i'm happy with the way it turned out.
