Had a couple of buyers on here back out on me, and I have not had any luck selling it locally so I decided to re-post it at 500 dollars cheaper price to try to get it out of my garage.
Heres the rundown. The built longblock only has 250 miles on it!!!!
What I put into it
$760 - 8.5-1 Diamond forged pistons with ceramic top coat and moly skirt coat.
$430 - H beam forged rods
$3000 - Motor Build
What I would like out of it
$2000 obo (we can negotiate on shipping) - Built Long block, rods, pistons, heads. No I/E Manifolds
Stock Cams, custom valve grind from my builder. What all that entails I do not know, didnt ask him at the time and I doubt he would remember now.
These are the diamond pistons with the total seal rings. There was a few people that had issues with them, but I boosted 12 psi on it moderatly (not nearly all the time) when I did drive it the short 250 miles. My clutch wasnt yet broken in and I didnt want to start slipping that without a proper break in. I had no issues with the rings like some people did. You know as much as I do about the rings. I have no information besides there was a few people who had issues. If you want more info you will need to search up on PT about the Diamond Piston BB or total seal rings.
You misinterpret the wording above, it should be interpreted Built Longblock -- rods, pistons, heads, no I/E manifolds. As is the long block is built, these are the parts you get.
The heads per say are not built. Stock valvetrain, stock cams, custom valve grind.
Exactlly, and all I do is keep lowering the prices and noone wants to buy into it.
Its actually less than 50% of what I put into it is for sale price. Then I gotta try and negotiate shipping onto of that with the buyer.
There is a guy comming to look at the shell from zimmerman, he says he has had 4 mx6's so hopefully the car will live on in other peoples hands. Once I sell the motor and body I will be clean of mx6 parts. Besides the retro-jspecs noone wants either
Negative, or the CF hood either. People dont want to pay for ballasts, bulbs, and jspecs. Its at least 500 bucks once you put all the parts cost togther. I spent about 800 originally, but price on the TSX projectors has dropped as more of the cars are dying now. Also price of ballast has dropped from China Manufacturing.
180 for the ballasts and bulbs
350 for the jspecs with projectors.
Looking at 520 already without the relay/harness/fuses and then probably shipping on that. No one wants to pay up for quality one of a kind parts. However I am firm on those prices because it was probably the best mod I ever did because it was all my own handcrafting and the output on the TSX is insane bright.
If you still have this by next May(which would surprise me) I'll probly take it from you. I'm coming back into the MX-6 game, just need time to get my cash up. I miss this car too much.
