FS: Ford Probe 16" wheels and tires

Just wanted to let you all know that I am selling my Ford Probe rims that I had on my MX6.

Everything fit perfectly on my MX6...I had to get rid of the car. I bought a Jetta...sad sad day

I dont want to burst your bubble, but thats a lil expensive. not to mention two of the tires (assuming they came from the front) are worn uneavenly, like the tires were never aligned propperly. the ones for the rear have the same problem, but dont look quite as bad.
Anyway, those wheels can be had for 250 shipped average. Heck, for that price, id rather get fd wheels.

Again, im not bashing you, just stating an observation.

that's appreciated...i've seen others have sold those wheels on ebay for more than that, though. I payed $425 for them a couple years ago.

You bought a jetta? What year? I have a set of 4, 18" 5x100 Mille Miglia spiders with 225/40/18 Fuzion ZRI tires off my old 2001 Jetta that I would be willing to trade for these. You throw a little cash my way as well, but we could work something out. Let me know.

They are chrome, they would fit a 96 GLX since the lug pattern on all VR6 cars is 5x100.

The chrome is flaking off two of the wheels though, I was planning on powdercoating them or painting them and then selling them.

Also, I noticed you are in Wisconsin, I'm about an hour from the IL-WI border. We could even meet to swap. It would be cheaper to pay for gas then it would shipping. Also, if you ever need help working on your VW, let me know. I have been building high performance watercooled VW's for about 15 years. I know those things inside and out.

so...I'll be completely honest with you....My wife and I do not have a lot of money...that's why we sold the car separately from the rims.

So I will really have to think about this...those rims are amazing, though. You'll have to email me what you think a good trade would be.
