Just like it says, i have for sale the 12" big brake kit from rr-racing. It has been used for 500 miles at the MOST. It also comes with the KVR carbon fiber brake pads. I need this gone ASAP to pay some bills so i am asking $550 shipped. This is nearly $100 cheeper than what i payed one month ago. Not only do these looking amazing but you can really notice a difference in braking distance. These were never used for autoX or any type of racing. Like i said these have [i]maybe[i] 500 miles at most on them. Thank you for looking!
it looks more to me like that's one month of non-use. the pad isn't even touching that part of the rotor. it doesn't matter if you have big rotors, if the pad surface area isn't covering a 1/2 inch of the rotor, it's not worth it...
Yes the car has been sitting. And you are wrong about the pad surface. This kit moves the caliper further from the center of the rotor which gives you more mechanical advantage to stop the vehicle.
my post is not useless. you still haven't addressed the fact that a half inch of the surface are of that rotor is being wasted by having the wrong sized calipers and pads there.
I didn't even notice.. those are stock calipers and stock pad sizes?
yes, including in the rr-racing big brake kit is a CNC machined caliper bracket that pushes the caliper further out to make up the difference in size of the rotor.
black93pgt, i beleive you were just owned by mister fujii, i do believe his setup looks MUCH better.
Um, fuji just stated what is already known about the kit, and is clearly advertised as such on the rr-racing website. Wow, stating the obvious.
And honestly, the smaller contact area makes little difference. Look at the stock back rotors on our cars, the pads don't use all of the machined surface either. Big deal?

increasing the distance of the pad from the center of rotation provides greater braking torque per revolution... such bbk's are definitely an upgrade over stock BUT are also losing a lot of the potential a bigger surface area allows for... but its just that.. losing some of that potential.. NOT nullifying it. you still get greater net torque per revolution, on the disc, by moving the pads farther from the center.
fuj - don't hate just because you had to upgrade your lawnmower sized stockers.. :P
blk93 - here's a hint. telling people to kiss your ass only pisses of the moderators.. please don't do that.
btw - very good looking probe you have there. good luck with it!
if it sells, i assume the bbk won't be included?
