They are pretty much exactly the same thing. Except for the fact that the teins have the ability to add the electronic dampening.

They are much better than K-Sport. Not just because of the name, but the committed R&D that went into make from the ground up a coilover system that was specific to the Probe/MX6. These are the same world class systems used for years in racing and drifting. Check out forums.probetalk.com for the write-ups and testimonials.

I would say not the "same," but that's my opinion. These are BASIC. Price list FORD

Im sorry but these right here, are not better than the ksports.....the SS (superstreet) are better but what you have here is the basic coilovers from tein. Basically, just to adjust ride height....the dampening isnt adjustable on this basic system whereas the ksports are 36 way adjustables...meaning u can put them ultra stiff or as soft as they can go. I dont want to ruin your sale, its a great price for what it is, tein is awesome and among the biggest company for suspension....but i dont think THIS setup is better then the ksports....either way good luck.

1993 Black KLZE mx6 LS,Probinator ECU,J-Spec Headlights,6000k/8000k HID Kit,Fidanza Flywheel and Stage III OFE SouthBend Clutch,MBX Stainless Steel Clutch Line, custom cold air intake,SSAutochrome Headers, 2.25 piping gutted cat and apexi N1 exhaust,17' Tenzo-R Shu wheels,KYB/ Eibachs suspension, interior converted to black leather interior....

Indeed not adjustable like the KSport. But definetly better quality... with no issues.

Does the basic kit include upper mounts, be it either just regular mounts or camber plates, or do I need to provide my own?

I ask because I wonder about adapting this kit to my 1g 4ws GT... As I am aware, the upper mounts are not interchangeable between generations???

This set is for the 2g probe/mx6, and it doesn't have mounts. You would use the mounts currently in the car, or purchase new ones. I'm pretty sure these wouldn't work for you... thanks for looking though

*off topic* sorry!!

But, I'm curious. Comparing what I know about these to some pictures that gavin posted about swapping the 2g suspension, using 1g mounts or possibly the infamous cusco camber plate mounts, I think this setup COULD be adapted to the 1st gen!

Sorry to hijack your thread, but you've given me a good idea, that's all!

Thanks for the reply though, and best of luck on the sale!

Very interesting. I know Galvin is well versed in many areas (particularly those involving racing) of the probe/mx6. Hey if it'll work, roll with it.

If the sale falls through, I'll let you know. Thanks for looking and good luck on the setup.
