you are looking at a Custom put together Coilover suspention setup for a 1st Gen, will fit any model 1st gen, LX DX GT LE, and even the probe. the kit is a DIRECT SWAP. no modding needed.
the kit,
Coilovers: custom orderd Ground Control coilovers, 8" front springs 375lb's rate, and 7" rear springs 250lb's rate, also added rear tender springs, which act as helper springs and help keep the rear wheels to the ground in hard cornering applications.
shocks: Fronts - 2nd gen tockico illuminas, they are the adjustable shocks(5 way) a custom braket made to hold brake lines to shock using zipties. Rears - are 1st gen tockico blues, with a custom made spacer to seat the coilover sleeve without problems.
camber plates: cusco front camber plates, custom made rear camber plates using cusco parts.
the suspention is used and had about 20k miles on them.
im asking 550$ plus shipping for complete setup. coilovers alone are 450$ with the tender springs. and shocks alone are 480$, and add cusco camber plates over 200$, and a custom made rear. you just cant beat the price. also NONE of the shocks are blown.
Price is Firm, its a 1st come 1st serve, i accept paypal, will ship anywhere through USPS or Fedex, give me your zip code or a valid maling address to give you shipping estimate.

got a few questions (sorry i have blown struts but little cash so i want to get the best thing i can)
1) how is the ride compared to stock?(by ride i don't care about soft i mean performance/cornering)
2) how do the ground controls compare to just Eibach lowering springs?(see ride above)
3) why did you put two different kinds of struts on it? does it have any advantages?
4) do you know if the ground control warranty is transferable?
5) how hard was it (please don't be modest) to mod the coil overs onto the struts just in case i blow one in the future?
shipping to 30102
and that is pretty much it thanks for your time

Not sure with those particular springs, but the Illuminas (White ones) are not a very nice ride, but the best for performance. The Blues are a great riding strut with an added performance over stock.

2) how do the ground controls compare to just Eibach lowering springs?(see ride above)
From the cars Ive riden in, the ground controls are a more controlled ride, a lot more performanc eoriented. Not the smoothest. I have the Blues/eibach on my car and they ride very smooth.

Id guess that it was easier to find a camber plate to modify to fit the 1g struts (Blues) on the back. The 2g ones were probably easy to do on the front.
Hope that helps you. These would be sweet on any car

well the ride is stiff, it is best set up for handling, if you intend to race the car or do mountain cruns through some twisty roads then this setup is for you, its not as comfortable as stock shocks or eibach/tockico blues setup. but the handling was awsome, i took member Keeloh one time in the car and took him around a few corners, he was surprized how much it gripped the road over stock, but not to mention i also did have a dutch bar installed and a rear strut bar and a lower tie bar.
as far as why blues in rear and illuminas in front, the illuminas are 2nd gen front struts, and they bolt right up in the 1st gen, but the rear 2nd gen illuminas dont bolt up in the rear with out modifiyin, so i used 1st gen rear blues.
as for modding the strut, you will have to cut the stock springg purche off, and grind a little on the shock ring to slide the coil over sleeve, other than that thats all you need to do, and for the rear you slide that black spacer and put it on the new shock. and should have no problem putting new shocks later on.
as for warrenty, i dont have the original box or paper work on the springs to tell you the truth.

one more quick one the struts or springs dont have any problems do they? i know it said the struts where not blown but the springs are still good and everything right? i dont mean that as an insult just a poor college student that is not looking for a headache
one more thing lol i just read a review about the ground control coilovers and the guy said
"The problem created with coil overs and camber plates, however, is that the stock isolator (top hat) is removed. This part of the factory suspension includes a bearing to ease steering effort. When removed for installations similar to mine, the top hat of the Ground Control setup grinds against the bottom of the camber plate"
is this a problem with this setup? this review is for a nissan 510... so idk if it applies to us or not.
im really interested how do you prefer payment? and what would the final price be $550 + S(shipping) = X (give you a little math problem lol)
if you would like paypal... uh i have one but i dont use it very often so if you would prefer payment that way please help me as to how to use it

the shocks are used, but they are not blown, im saying that becasue they arnt brand new, but at the same time they arent trash. im not trying to rip off anyone here. i've been a member on this site since 2002, and i have a good reputation here. i got a few i trader posts that you can read as well. so what im saying is that the shocks arent leaking oil and they still work. i took them out of my car operating
as for the rubbing problem, i did notice this problem with the screwers that hold the hime joint to the plate rubbing on the coil over top hats, but i never noticed it untill i removed the suspention setup, so i never botherd to fix it, the fix for this thing would be to probably get shorter alen head screws, or adding washers under the screw. enough to space it out away from the top hat. but the rubbing from the screws and top hats isnt major.
i calculated shipping to your zip code is 29$, so your total would be 550$ + 29$= 579$ (simple enough)
like i said i meant no offense to you i apologize if it seemed that way just covering my bases
so you didnt notice any increased effort in making turns or anything right?
alright let me go ahead and get them just one thing is there a way to pay with a credit or debit card through paypal or does it have to be transferred into my paypal account then transferred? if the latter i might need a few days for the paypal transfer to go to paypal before i can send it to you. sound good? once you have the payment how long would it take for you to ship? no real urgency just curious.

im not offended, you have the right to know, but like im not trying to rip off anyone here
as far as steering effort, to tell you the truth, i have a brand new power steering rack installed on this car, so im not sure if it had any effect on turning, but i had my steering rack setup on soft, and i never had a problem, but my freind just bought a 89 mx6 and his rack is twice as stiff as mine with his stock suspention. so to answer your question i never had a problem with turning. one thing i did notice was that i lost a bit of turning radius when i had the camber all the way in for a try out and the car beeing lowerd a good 3" in the front
as far as paypal, when you usually set it up you will have to set it up with a bank account debit card, not sure if you can set it up with a credit card, but if you dont have money in your paypal account and purchace something, it will pull it out directly from your specified account without a problem.
as far as shipping i will ship as fast as i get payment, the suspention is already sitting in a box, i just have to tape it up and take it to USPS, and USPS is 200 feet away from my house. and you will get a confirmation email that i shipped the stuff. but using USPS i dont get a tracking number to give to you, Fedex dose, but its 3 times as expensice.
here's how my car used to sit on the ground with this setup:
and this is how the car sits with stock suspention:
