some pics of my new to build 1st gen coupe ( a lot!!!)

as most of u know my old red coupe was totalled while parked. so i bought another one.. things from the red are going to be swapped onto this "new" one.
heres one before the tear down..




empty interior, did this to make the rewiring more easy

swap the trunk since i had this debadged


the parts which need to be installed..


what do u think

That last one of the car getting carried into the truck was sad, but good to see you already started on another project, looks real good, and I am sure this new one is going to look as good or better than the last one. Good luck with everything.

The red one looked sweet... i bet the blue one will also.

Maybe a n00b question but whats the diffence between a 626 Coupe and a MX6?

In Europe the first Gen's were all 626 Coupe's from my recollection.

i just looked up the 626 coupe and the mx6 and i dont see any major differences

Coming along nicely Dutch Quite sad to see Red getting taken away like that though, we dont have any of those trucks around here. You get all teary eyed watching it? You had one of my favorite 1Gs, I almost did

Dutch, your car was one of my favorite 6's. So sad to see it go. Do you have any pics of where it got hit and the other vehicle that hit it?

Currently have two 1988 MX-6 GT 5 speeds, both white, one stock, one not. Also have a big ass Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 Diesel for fun.

I had to do the same thing :-(, just in my case an elderly woman cut me off. Good luck with the new project, i'm sure it will come out equally as awesome if not better. Thats how mine worked out. Nick
