Carmen's Intake and Side Exit Exhaust!

Carmen is sounding better and better!!

Intake vid Stock Vs W/CAI:

And the last exhaust was mostly destroyed, luckily the Magnaflow survived, so here we go, starting to mock it up again, this time will all aluminized piping, 14ga Vs the Non-aluminized 18ga:

Jumping ahead, with the assembly all tacked into place fitment looks good, not hitting anything, sitting up nice and high...

Removed the assembly to more easily weld it together:

Found a great bolt to put a hanger on courtesy of the park bake cable, just had to cut the heat shield a bit to make it work, and makes it NICE and solid:

Used a stock hanger location as well:

And Voila! Fits like a glove, more solid and much better than the last one!

As for the sound? He he he...sexy...

Vid of it open piped off the cat, and then full exhaust:

Enjoy!
Ryan

Oh, I didn't cut it...ghetto as it sounds, a hammer was my tool of choice. I much prefer that is it does not expose raw, un-primerd metal to the elements. on kitty, after a year and actually driving in snow and salt all winter the hammered flat pinch weld showed absolutely no rust where the exhaust welds had a nice coat of rust.

Legality is somewhat questionable...per safety inspection laws it will pass, however there is some law stating that the exhaust system may not be modified, however I don't know the details.

In the state safety inspection manual all it says is the exhaust may not pass through any passenger compartment, must not be positioned such that an occupant could be burned on entry or exit of the vehicle, and must exit at the perimiter of the vehicle. The wording may be off, but you get the idea
