OMG I just saw the car after paint, and it is teh SEX!!!!!!!!!!!
The depth of the paint looks like a pool of water that you can jump into.
I got it painted Viper Blue with a touch of red pearl... which really sets it off nicely.
The headlights, hood, tails, windows, door handles, gas cap, mirrors, spoiler, etc... have to all be put back on still.
It should be outta the shop and on the streets by Tueday.
It's 100% flawless.
Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me, and they were just closing for the night when I saw it... So I'll have some pics of it completed on Tuesday.

-Shawn.

I demand a update, and that Davids pictures be removed from your thread.

Smile

Here's some pics...
It was getting dark outside, and no sun was shining on the paint, so it didn't look as nice as it usually does...

Looks good.... kinda familiar You should think about some sort of mesh in the front end to hide all the insides showing.

Not yet... lol
On tuesday, I'm going to a metal shop, and I'm gonna make myself a skid plate for the front bumper.
I'm gonna have it sit about 1/2 an inch under the bumper, and it'll be bolted to the frame.
I'm thinkin of raising the front about 1/4" tomorrow.
Now I'm just waiting for my new klze chip to arrive from Probinator.
It rides like a dream with my new Ksports too.
I also just put the new 2002 Protege 5 calipers, brembo rotors and pads on too.

I wouldn't bother putting it 1/2" lower than the bumper. That is 1/2" you don't have to give up. I had to raise up my car after the kit went on and I'm about 1/16" away from scraping just to get in my driveway. I'd put the skid plate just under it. It's gonna scrape either way but you lower down the plate you'll sound like your dragging metal all the time.
