Progess of body work... UPDATED March 15

Okay, so I promised some progess pics of the body work, so here they are.
The body shop told me that it should be painted within the next month or two.
It is getting painted the same color as before (2002 Viper GTS Blue)... perhaps with a hint of light blue or silver pearl...
I decided to mold the front bumper as you can tell.
I will be fabricating a custom skid plate for the front bumper next week... so I don't screw up this new bumper.

Also, as you can tell, there is a fair sized gap between the bumper and hood.
The body shop can build up fibreglass on the bumper to make it meet the hood properly, but it will cost me about an extra $150... I am thinking I should do it.
The hood latch is all the way down, and it is somewhat of a push to close the hood so it latches.
The hood is also touching the headlights, so I don't think it can go down any further, therefore, I think the only way around the hood gap is to build the bumper up with fibreglass.

They seemed to find a [shizzle] load of small dents, and cracks around the car that even I didn't know about!
They also shaved my trunk badges and keyhole.

I am thinking about getting them to also fill in the rear side marker holes as well... just for a cleaner look.

Also, just incase your wondering why the bumper parts infront of the headlights are fibreglassed and such, is because it was all wavy and not high enough to meet the headlights. The bumper required a fair amount of modifying to get it to look the way it does now.

And just for good measure, a pic of my ZE... (sorry bout the dirtyness / dustyness lol)

It isn't.
We just put it all on to see the fitment of everything, and to see how it all looked.
We had the lights and hood sitting off to the side while all the body work was being done.

To answer your first question.... no.
And the second question is self explanatory.

I can't believe your molding the front end. I didn't as I figured it was only a matter of time before I either hit a big pothole or ran over a retread going down the freeway. It's gonna cost a whole lot more when it jacks up the fenders and paint instead of just the bumper. That plus the movement of the nose when it scrapes would make me think its much more likely to crack the paint up where it's molded.

I would also have them change where the front of the side skirt meets the front fender. My body shop did a great job on that part.....

Honestly, it was never a problem though. that was always the least of my worries. The biggest problem was the Z3 inserts constantly cracking. that drove me NUTS. Now I see Shawn is getting them fixed once again. It seems to be a yearly thing.

If I hit a pothole or something like that, insurance will cover it.
I will definately be taking alot of precautions to keep it from getting hit much.
I'm also going to be fabricating a custom skid plate, so I won't hit it on anything.
And yes, those damned Z3 inserts are a pain in the ass... but they are worth it. lol

I'm not sure what they're doin.
Why would they have to take the glass out?
If they take out the rear windows, won't I have to get new ones? (cuz i think the stripping is connected, isn't it?)
I went in today, and it was all primed.
