Oh and while I'm at it, these are the part numbers for the rest of that OEM optional kit: All Mazda パーツ情報 <MX-6>
Don't know about availability at the dealer anymore, but they are available
wow, awsome link. I'd really like a set of "saidosukaatosetto"
dude are you kidding me? i know they are rare, but there is no options really for our cars. wouldnt u rather see people having mazdaspeed replicas rather than having buddyclub sides or shogun?
and just because some of us are cheap doesnt mean we all are. personally id pay up to 300 or so on these.
Wow, I paid $600 for used. Cost me another $500 to paint them and repair them...and thats the average for owners that have this kit. Jello_g paid like $2000 for his 3 piece set. Having replicas made would greatly deminish the value of everyone else's kit as well as drag the value of these cars down further.
I do support making it hence why I'm still looking for someone, but I'm not going to mass produce them if I do make them and they wont be $300 or even close considering the short production molds.

Made a little progress tonight didnt have much time though.
Very true. Just thought I'd make a note of it since it is still available like a lot of supposed rare parts. Yours will likely be a good price too using a cheaper material and offering the same level of quality.

SOLD - 1994 Mazda MX6 LS, Infiniti G35 HID conversion, 2.5" Magnaflow cat-back, 3" CAI, 16x8" FD RX7 wheels, LEDA Custom True Coilovers, shaved body and full repaint, Genuine Mazdaspeed Kit, '03 Protege rear caliper conversion, and much, much more...
Yea I agree that they are getting more rare, that's the reason why I gave up on looking for one, and jumped on a 44kit deal, as they are pretty hard to find too.
M-Edition Turbo - Motor build underway
94 RS - The daily
Looks great, I wish i wouldnt have waited a little while longer before installing my front lip. I love the 3 peice. Also do you have any plans for doing the factory side accent peices (the ones that go in front of the back wheels) I would love to have a set of those. Great work!
I have gone on a sabbatical from work. I know its been slow going.
Ive been working on fitmet. The orginal part is very flexable so making it into fiberglass it hasnt been as forgiving. Also everything is done by hand so it take alot longer Also the middle section is very thin which made my efforts to make a fold some what a pain in the ass. I took the approach of making a new middle section from scratch by hand. The great thing is that its very stiff which some AutoX guys might like.
Ive also been working on intergrating the mounting hardware into the parts I sell. People tend to just rivit it on, which from my testing I conclude that rivits suck and that you will end up losing your parts on the road.
Thought I would give you all some pictures They arent pretty as its all in production. I spent most of the day sanding.
In this picture you can see the three mount points that will attach to the middle section. These are fresh out of the mold.
Removed: I changed how this was built.
Here is the middle section being built by hand. What you also see in this picture that a weave fiber glass being wrapped about it. This is to allow a more smooth edge.
Removed: I changed how I built these in the end.
And here is another corner section. I spent many hours today test fitting it and sanding it. It has a fresh gel coat on it. This helps level out the surface and fill tiny air pockets that have been sanded out on the surface. After another sanding session it will get some paint on it and when the other parts are made someone can buy it
To the left is the mold, each time you lay a part you have to add filler, gel coat and sand all over again so that the next part comes out smooth.
These were after its first round of sanding a few days ago. Did some more wet sanding today. I also worked out the mounting system for these. The bolts will be in the parts.
I redid the center mold again for the third time... this time I got it right . The mold should be ready tomorrow for producing parts.
So end of this week the first one should be ready for sale
