You have no idea the hours I have put into just this one section of the replica. These parts are very solid and strong but remain light weight, not super thick like most fiber glass bumpers.

So after test fitting the mounting points today they are coming off and I will be placing them in a different location.

Also the center mold is done as of today!

First center section with its first layer is drying right now.

I also redid the mount points for the side to a much better location.

i had completely forgotten about this thread. glad to see its still alive and well

1993 Mazda MX6 [RF] - hardly ever driven but still money burnt on it

yeah I will have daily pictures up tonight. Worked on the Mazda itself a bit today also. New gaskets before the engine goes in.

As you can see here I re did the mounting point.



And.... the worst thing about making this part is..... the center piece! Haha it will get about 3-6 more onces of glass tomorrow and then sanded. yay.....

Doubt I will as I'm just a hobbyist. Plus making a two sided mold and then inserting mounting hardware, dear god I don't think I am up for that challenge.

Although I do see a MS skirt and spoiler in the future.


Oh yeah and I do this by hand and I don't want to buy a VAC system.
