That sucks man. No offense, but you're not going to get much back for a non-GT first gen. Good luck with the search.

97 C8 MX6 LS-S : Supercharged StreetThisMx6's motor, HP's and Eibach's, AWR suspension components, FD's and J-specs, etc... Yeah it's nice

there is a red 1g mx6 that sits in a parking lot across from target by the mall. i swear it has been sitting there for over a year. idk if its a turbo or not though. im sure you could talk them into selling it, sence it has been there forever.

Just sitting in the lot, unmoved? I'd be afraid to see what kind of condition its in haha. I might take a drive out there and check it out sometime. If you happen to be in the area and swing by it for me I'd karma you and then some since I don't go up north often.

That damage is fixable. The impact was all on the rad support and not on the bumper. A radiator support, fenders, hood, hood latch(and associated brackets, etc...) and you should be able to get it back on the road. Local salvage yards are a good place to start. You just have to decide if the car is worth the work. I vote yes.

i dont know for sure if it has MOVED or not, but i know damn well its been in that lot. for some reason i think its actually a (shady) dealers lot.
idk, it could just be someones car that works there and its just allways parked there and catches my eye.

It is seeming like that is what I'm going to be doing now after talking all of it over with a couple different people. Grille, rad support, bumper, hood, headlight covers etc. needs to be bought. I think it'd be cheaper to do the work on my own and I'd actually make money in the long run if they total it. It is no doubt worth the work IMO and I would love to do it. But the temptation of a brand new car without the underbody rust problems that I have right now is pretty tempting. Car is in a shop right now to get the damage estimated, getting it back tomorrow, then making the decision of what I'm going to be doing.

Maybe fixing this 6 and then selling it to buy a GT in the future?

@colin, Southwest ft wayne. I've got jefferson pointe shoppin mall and stuff and never have a need to drive the 20 min drive up there.

just like how everyone met up at arbys every weekend. untill one dumb [fizzle] did a burnout right in front of the general manager. kicked our asses out right then and there.

its fun, but its kinda gay cause its like little clicks talking to eachother and they all look like dueschbags to me. .

crappy luck dude! I guess just be glad you and the lady in front of you are ok.

Id say try and find a GT and keep the mx6 project going

1993 Mazda MX6 [RF] - hardly ever driven but still money burnt on it
2006 Honda CBR600rr - daily driver/rider and potential death machine

haha, autobody place quoted $4200 in damages, lmao. Looks like I'm getting a new 6.

Insurance guy we talked to thought I'd get over $1500 in payment for it being totaled. No clue how he got those numbers though. That'd be sweet.
