My mom got it from work. She's a pharmacist and she gets stuff packed in it sometimes.
If I find someplace around me that sells it I'll let you know what kind of place it is. I'm going to try places that deliver ice and see if anyone will sell me a few pounds. We use it at work if the power goes out to keep the fridges cold without making a wet mess of everything.
I got some more work done today. I got the dash installed the rest of the way, closed the holes through the firewall, mounted my MS unit, cleaned up the rest of the wiring, and started cutting out my rear speaker deck. I also put the driver's seat in and took it for a test drive. She's definitely lighter. She accelerates faster off the line and she handles like a lighter car.
Unfortunately I am also back to monster truck status now (3 finger gap in the front and rear ). Time to start saving for AWR coilovers.
My brother and I picked this up for his s10 at the you pull it yard today. After a little more rattle can, some clear coat, and some wetsanding it will match his truck nicely. 10000 internets if you can tell me what hood it is. It bolts up with no modification.
It takes one to know one Mike. Maybe I'll catch up to you someday.
Taking the heater core and stuff out was much easier than I thought it would be. I just had to use a u-shaped coolant hose between the ports under the throttle body.
I did have one question for you though. How did you cut out the rear deck in the corners? I couldn't see very well in your pictures. Did you cut out the little brackets that hold up the rear deck near the rear strut towers? You can see what I am talking about in the last two interior pictures.

I knew the answer too but figured I probably wasn't eligible to guess
Cars looking good. You really need to get a decent seat in there though.
I ended up picking up those side skirts btw. Thanks for letting me know about them

I'm glad you picked them up Mike. I didn't know they were worth anything. Did they charge you 7 dollars or 12 dollars each? Either way its a [fizzle]ing steal. Did you find them okay?
Haha, did you see the ricetastic mx6 I had the one side sitting next to? It sucks that the biggest rice bucket in the whole yard was a 4cyl mx6.
I am just going to throw a stock cloth seat from an mx6 or pgt in there for now. I want racing seats eventually but cash flow is limited at this time.

You have to pop the spot welds. You can drill them or use a big ass screwdriver. Surprisingly wasnt to hard

Thanks Mike. I will have to try that. I gave one of them hell with a hammer but it didn't work very well.

We use it at work when the refrigerators go out due to power failure. Dry is is just solid co2 that turns into co2 gas as it melts. You would have to breathe a LOT to asphyxiate.
I had all the doors, trunk, and sunroof opened anyway.
nice job chef...wish i had known about the dry ice trick before i did the heatgun and chisel horse crap method
i see you're aiming for 2300 with you in it...its def possible...it'll be stripped to the nuts tho. Mine still has two seats the dash, door panels, stereo and HVAC system. Its down around 2300 with me in it. I think i can get it down to 2200 with me in it if i get rid of the interior completely. Right now i drive it too much to make it look like dump
i want to cut out my rear deck but the rear end of the car is so light already i don't want to screw up the weight dist anymore than i already have.
o and coilovers are a must once she is good and light...you've already got some good wheel gap...
Holey [shizzle]! you have really been busy! can you hear the dirt and rocks hit the cars bottom when you drive? lol i bet thats going to be a loud ride with the exhaust, like a race car eh. you have your ms all wired up now? did you use there harness they sell or make your own?

Yeah dry ice is definitely where its at. I need to find more though.
I think it will be right around 2300 when I get the rest of the sound stuff removed and get two seats back in it.
The rear deck weighs almost nothing. I am only removing it because I hate how it looks.
I'll be saving for the AWR setup for sure.

I've only had it on the road for about 5 minutes since I stripped it. It's pretty loud but not unbearable. I LOVE how the KL sounds so it won't bother me. My borla is not that loud anyway. I can't wait to get her boosted.
The MS was wired up before. The harness is custom. The shop that built my motor installed it. I just relocated it a few times. They had it under my passenger seat so I moved it into my center console under my factory ECU. Then when I stripped the interior I wanted to show it off so I installed it where it is now.

Whenever you want Darnell. Taking things apart is my specialty.
Your car won't be tucking those wheels anymore if you strip your interior. Mine's sitting almost an inch higher now.
