I had one but sold it. I am either going to pick up another ZE mani, get the DE gutted, or get something special made. I'm leaning toward the last option but who knows.
Sounds good man. I will let you know. You can PM a price my way if you want. I probably won't be doing any motor work until next season. I am focusing on other stuff right now.
Wow you really went all out. Iv done most of that except I never touched the dash. Why did you decide to tear it down? Going to swap in a different interior or just clean up and fix up what you had?
I was just tired of having an interior and I want to see how much weight I can remove. I'm kind of stuck on the race/stripped look right now so we'll see where the car ends up.
I am sure the car will be what I want it to be: Loud, rough, fast, and fun.
I never understood the point of ridicoulus weight reduction, at most your going to save around 100 pounds which is nto worth it. But if your doing it because your bored then have fun lol. Last time I was bored I drilled 6 leds into my sunglasses drop down thing on the overhead console(not mx6).
That's funny. I've probably stripped down at least 200 pounds by now. Maybe get your facts straight? Lightening a car is one of the easiest ways to make it faster and more responsive. And it's free.
I don't come around here that often anymore, but I just saw your post and saw that you were looking for those pictures of pier's roll cage... here they are...
200 pounds is nothing for a street car, no offence. When I put 200 pounds into my car I notice a difference but its not big. Unless your going into professional motorsports there is no reason for weight reductions especially in the interior. I would personally start with the body, making every single part of that lighter and stiffer and more aerodynamic.

Whatever dude. I don't give a [fizzle] what other people think. I'll post up what it weighs total when I get done with it. Going from 2600 pounds to 2300 pounds will make a big difference in acceleration, handling, and brake response. We already established that a carbon hood and trunk only provide a 40 pound weight savings and those parts will cost you around $700-800 Definitely not worth the cost just for weight savings.

Done. His car is awesome but I could never do that unless I had a track nearby like he does.
