Glad they decided on staying with the RWD platform. It looks great but will likely cost a bunch.

Looks gorgeous. I like how the article compares an rx8, s2k, and 350z but then says the supra is gonna cost 50k. Ok why not try comparing to something in its price range? Could be interesting to see skyline vs supra sales numbers.

The new RX7 had better have some pics leaked of it I hope it doesn't look like that Kabura concept, it looks to bloated.
Hopefully we'll get some more info on all these cars soon.

hmmm............5.0 V8. That's......odd. For a Japanese "supercar" that's always relied on amazing straight 6 engines in particular. I wouldn't mind the extra displacement, but it seems like such a departure from tradition. a lot of Supra fanatics are going to have some choice words about that.

Gorgeous styling.

'91 Miata, BEGi s2 turbo kit (GT2560r), 2.5" exhaust, Torsen LSD, AEM WBO2, 460cc injectors, MegasquirtPNP, Tein flex, Hyperflex bushings, 15x8 949Racing 6UL's, 225/45/15 Hankook RS2's, HDHCDDHT rollbar. Only SOME of this is actually installed on the car right now though. lol. Dang procrastination!

Yeah also considering toyota has a 5L v8, making 450hp while ford needs a 5.4L supercharged engine to make the same power in a GT500. Dodge making 425 hp from a 6.1L hemi.. etc, toyota has the technology advantage, but then again, who didn't know that already.

Wow that's a sexy car. Always loved the Supra and glad it's coming back, even if it looks different. Really sexy back on the hardtop.

Fugly

The Supra looks ugly imo, too.

im suprised the japanese would go down the path of using a 5 litre V8. with the pollution over there, they try to reduce large cars on the road with tax incentives on making smaller motors, like those 600cc cars. you only have to look at the high performing cars to see they dont usually go over 3 litres (supra nsx GTR etc) only the most luxurious cars going higher. therefore id imagine the 5 litre engine would be hellishly expensive
