Supra's easily make 800whp on the stock engine, its a matter of upgrading from the TT to a single and getting FM. WOTM.com has the fastest 6-speed STREET supra, its literally insane the 1/4 miles it runs at weighin at 3,200 lbs, but I guess a big turbo and stroked 3.4L rice eater inline 6 is what its all about.

yeah, but when that weedwhacker is the size of a high-school kids backpack... 1600hp is just that much more incredible. The engine weights barely anything, and you can stuff it anywhere.

BTW, I'll bet a LS6 engine can do 2000hp, but I haven't heard of it being done for regular, everyday cars. But then again I dont really dork around too much on the web.. so who knows. I know a fair bit about the Toyota's since I was about to buy a 1993 Supra TT. My buddy wants to buy a 2nd gen MR2.... so we researched these things quite a bit.

^ that 3.4 Liter stroker package will usually run about $35,000. here is one, its just 1325 HP and its $30k. http://www.suprastore.com/stag8upkit12.html
Its just gets idiotically expensive past that... I'm guessing the 1500hp kit would cost $45k-ish at LEAST.. who knows.

You can do some idiotic things with ANY engine if your willing to since $20k plus into it. A Chevy 4.3L vortec V6 is also a great engine, with $8k you can get 1200hp. I think lots of manufacturers have their own flagship engines that raise a bench mark. Now Nissan has the "Best V6 on the market" I've been told. Other people say the Toyota Solara engine is great.
Then there are lots of people that like the 3.8 L V6 engine from a 1998-2003 Grand prix GTP. Its also VERY well built.

The commonality is that ALL those engines have LOADS of potential; given the basis that your willing to carefully map out the engines stresspoints and remediate them.

This seems to be a FANTASTIC engine tuner: located in California.

About this 1600hp V12... Its $30k if you were wondering.
