Ok, so yesterday me and my friend Ross dropped my 6 on Megan Racing springs and Tokico blues. Everything went real easy, and I was surprised at how quickly it went. I got my alignment today (Yesterday I tried immediately afterwards but we had gotten a strut setting wrong), but I hear a noise, and I think it's because we forgot to put something back on the strut. That little rubber seat that fits on the strut was left out for the front ones and I didn't realize we hadn't put those on. The rear ones have them. I am hearing a noise when I turn the wheel left. It is like a small thunk noise. Any ideas? I am concerned that I need the springs to be sitting in that little rubber gasket seat. It is metal on metal contact between the spring and the strut. Should I not be driving around like this?

Graham, sorry about this. Can we get this thread moved to the right forum then?

Is this going to be a problem for the spring? If is a matter of just putting in that rubber seat then I can do that when my spring compressor gets in the mail.

Check and make sure the bolts on top of the strut are tightened enough. Go around to each strut on the car and tighten that big nut on top. I had the same problem you did and it turns out it just wasnt tightened down enough.
