should my oil pressure read this low???

I've noticed that when the car is warmed up and sitting at idle around 800ish the oil pressure (from the pro-sport gauge ) says about 15psi........

One i get on her it stays right around 60-70 psi. Cruising it sits around 30-40. The idle kinda scares the [shizzle] out of me, i realize the engine is relatively moving pretty slow at that point but 15psi just seems to damn low. Is that right though?

YES, 40 dollars S+H used pistons, cylinders, valves, and another cyl head. I can't wait to see this thing live. I've never once actually seen it run before.

it means your bearings are pretty worn, about 3/4 worn at a guess....

I have seen worse, I'v seen cars where the light comes on at idle! and thats about 4psi or less.

The engine in my GC, which has done a hard 230kkm, does 20psi at idle.
bear in mind tho, that even a few hundred rpm more or less at idle makes a big difference, but idle oil pressure is that big a deal.

The rest of the numbers are liveable
