Looking to figure out how to lower the amount of gas pumped into the engine respectively to its usual amount. thinkin a remap going through the odb2 system would be the best, but i don't feel like messing with buying licenses and other blah blahness. any good tricks? I'm working with a '03 pontiac grand am now. Like i said, it might sound weird, but it's a small part of a grand scale project to get 300 mpg. Any ideas would be great! The cheaper the better too!

Nice lookin ride, but not nearly as quick as the Mx6.
if you were to lower the amount of gas coming in, without reducing the air you would be running extremely lean. I understand what you want to do but if you want to lower the mpg's you gonna have to do a lot more than reduce the fuel being shot into the intake.

Well i'm going to be running browns gas along with the gasoline, So the less gasoline the better. Tell the truth the only reason i want any gasoline in there at all has to do with keeping the engine from rusting out. browns gas makes water, water rusts metal, gasoline keeps that from happening. And i don't feel like tearing the motor apart to coat everything with ceramic. I've thought of the messing with the fuel rail, but i don't want to confuse the computer. All that odb2 stuff is relentlessly stubborn in that it learns about the physical changes to the motor, and fixes it self to run right ccording to its own numbers (bunch of crap if you asked me, i'd rather have my mx6 back, that was much more simple...) So i'm thinkin i'll just mess with the pre-cat o2 or put a new mega squirt system in there to take care of my fuel management. And um... no sniffing petrol. drugs are bad mmmkay... Any other ideas would be awesome!

I really can't be bothered to think of the reasons why this is a stupid idea, so I'll let someone else take care of that.

Oxyhydrogen is often mentioned in conjunction with devices that claim to increase automotive engine efficiency or to operate a car using water as a fuel.
Many of these claims, prima facie, violate the Laws of thermodynamics. See Conservation of energy and Electrolysis of water Efficiency.
Without even bothering to research anymore than that, anyone claiming they can somehow push a car to 300mpg simply by modifying the existing engine and using some weird mixture is crazy. The only way to even get close to 300mpg is using Hydrogen and running it on a very small and lightweight car. Even a motorcycle will have a hard time pushing 300mpg on Hydrogen. But who knows, maybe some guy in his garage will figure out a magical way to beat all of those multi-billions funded researchers with their multiple doctorates from MIT.

Thats how alot of stuff became what it is now.
Good Luck on your quest. May the force be with you.
