Hey, so I picked up a floor mat from the junkyard the other day. Needless to say it was filthy! Coffee stains and everything. It was gross. Sorry I don't have any before pictures. Seeing as I only paid a buck forty nine for the mat, I say hey [fizzle] it, I'm gonna pressure wash this baby!
I started by soaking it in carpet stain remover, and then I let it sit for 15-30 minutes, I don't remember. I then took a honda gas powered pressure washer, and blasted the [shizzle] out of the mat. Once I was sure that the water coming off of it was clear, I stopped. I then took a 2 foot piece of a 2x4 and pushed the edge along the mat, pressing out the water. It was then damp, and I let it dry in the garage for a couple days.
Anyways this is how clean it ended up!!!!
Now THAT is money in the bank.

Another good way (if you don't have a pressure washer or a car wash close by):
1. soak your mats in an inch of hot water and favorite carpet cleaner or laundry detergent for 10-15 minutes,
2. rinse and shake them side to side while submerged upside down in 1" of fresh water,
3. repeat / spot treat if necessary (shouldn't be).
4. clean tub from all the grime and crap that comes out (Otherwise, it leaves a nasty gray ring around your tub.)
5. (do the 2x4 squeegee trick to dry them out faster like artemis suggests).
Heel wear? Well, you can use a stiff bristle brush while soaking the mat to loosen the fibers, but erosion is pretty much unpreventable if you use the mat. (You were probably just asking rhetorically, right?)
Artemis, that's the passenger side, and as we all know they passenger side is always nice... what about the driver side?

Ill probablly just buy new mat (its for the ms6 anyways) I bet that gonna be a killer $ wise.

about the drivers side: at the junkyard when I picked up the passy side, the drivers side was very badly worn, so I skipped out, and so I just don't have a mat on the drivers side.
but now that they make rogaine for floor mats, I regret not picking the bald one up!

Stealth, a new set of mats for the MS6 will only run you 90 from streetunit.com. Besides going to the dealer, I can't seem to find just the driver's floor mat though. And i really want one because my 6 didn't come with one and I'm worried about wearing the carpet down. So if you end up getting the set from SU, let me know and I'll take your old ones off your hands
