I was wondering around and stumbled across what might turn out to be the ultimate automotive site for people like us who are constantly tinkering with things. the site is called youtorque.com. It allows for users to disassemble various performance engines just like a video game...free of charge...think of it as Gran Turismo or Forza but with an engine.
Would be very useful to new comers who are just getting into the scene or kids going to tech school for automotive...what do you guys think? Check it out:
The plugin is no different than installing flash on your system. It allows for the application to run in your web browser. If you choose not to install it that's fine, but think about how your internet experience would be today if you didn't have flash, java, quicktime, adobe, etc installed....??? Man always fears change, until it happens
It probably needs to be done in Java or Flash. I have a Mac, and that doesn't seem to be supported.
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, throughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming--WOW--What a Ride!"
-Not unknown to everyone, but I'm not sure who said it.

Um, I wouldn't consider this plug-in in the same league as any of the ones you mentioned. A lot of these smaller no-name apps are usually bundled with spyware or Malware, thats why I (like many others) dont bother installing them.

So your telling me you'd check it out if you didn't have to download the plugin?
I hear their going to be putting part numbers with the corresponding objects so that whenever a user hovers over the object they get a factory part number along with the name of the part...that should be pretty cool
